when you have an all day hankering for oysters and then stumble on this gem first of all, $1 HH oysters (and no, not the basic Blue Points) – James River and they were divine. definitely one of my faves after today. we also tried the HH cocktails, which were super refreshing. we shared a shrimp taco and for our main, we ordered the fish of the day – tilefish. we got it blackened, with the cajun remoulade and pineapple tartar. the tilefish easily stole the show… they’re not kidding when they advertise fresh! the chorizo creamed corn was interesting and the slaw was awesome. overall, a perfectly light, delicious and well balanced meal. pair that up with being able to enjoy it outdoors since they have an “open” style dining area/bar. this will definitely be our new go-to joint since having moved here a year and a half ago. we’ll be back, and we’ll be introducing some friends to Trophy Fish next week. i’m already looking forward and it’s not even Friday yet of course, big ups to the service as well. quick, attentive and very pleasant experience… someone else mentioned they had a fun playlist and i’ll chime in and say that the ambiance was 10/10. im certainly looking forward to returning and trying all the other menu offerings

Best seafood in the area and fantastic happy hour! Everything I’ve tried is flavorful, fresh, and good portions. The quality at this location is equal to the original one. I can’t help it, I have to get their oysters. Their hush puppies are a must. The shrimp tacos and catch of the day entrees are superb. You order your at the bar and staff is always cheerful and offering recommendations. You feel like you’re ‘somewhere else’ with the tropical feel without a beach dive bar. There isn’t a/c, but it’s covered and has fans. Do yourself a favor and try it if you have not been or go back if it’s been a while. You’ll have to order the dessert and let me know how it is!

Unfortunately I have to update my 5 star rating. I have been coming here for a little over a year now, and each time is just a little worse than the time before. Food portions have shrunk, and quality of the plates seems to have slipped. While everyone working there is friendly, service is incredibly slow, even though there was at least 4 people behind the bar. We had to ask for water 4 times before they finally brought some to go with our food and cocktails. I hope that something can be done about the speed of service and the food, as this was a place I used to be able to recommend to folks previously as a great spot to check out.

$1 oysters and happy hour drinks were so good. Bartenders were very very friendly. The vibes are bungalow retreat from the heat in the hip neighborhood of Seminole heights. Super family friendly. Lots of parking. I actually prefer this location over the St.Pete Trophy Fish

Today was my first time eating at Trophy Fish restaurant. What a great place for lunch. The service was great and our server Mr. Sweet T. was amazing. My food was delicious. The fresh Grouper was cooked just right and that pineapple coleslaw was different, but so good! I also recommend the Ceviche as a appetizer what a treat in your mouth. I will be having lunch at Trophy Fish again.

Awesome night at Trophy Fish last week. Wanted somewhere to go after Gasparilla that was different and wouldn’t be a long wait. Trophy Fish is all open air, so it gives you a sense that you’re on the beach or somewhere tropical!!
Walked in and the manager greeted us and explained how it works. It’s cafe style, so you pick a seat and just order your food at the bar, they will bring it out to you! We ended up eating at the bar and god some cocktails which were great. They had stone crab special so we did a half pound of that. Super good and served up with some old bay dusted on top!
They rotate specials and fresh catch of the day so make sure to check the chalkboard when you walk in! For entree we had the mahi sandwich and the grouper day boat. Which you get to choose 2 sides and the fish of the day. We also got the seafood chowder which was made to order and so delicious. It was a bit on the pricey side, it was $29.
Cool thing is their sister cocktail bar concept Mandarin Heights is connected. So we walked over there and hand another cocktail before leaving. Super fun time!!

We are here at least 2x a week. The food is consistently delicious and super fresh. You’d be hard pressed to find a better bartender in Tampa than Ian. They treat their regulars like family. Any night we get to come is a fun time and leaves us looking forward to our next visit. They also welcome kids and spoil ours on the regular. Trophy Fish is their favorite spot as well.
