The food was good , nothing spectacular but it was good. The service was not good , waitress never came back to refill drinks , left dishes at the table after we ate . The music was way too loud there was a woman singing whose voice went right through my head, need to definitely replace her and turn down the volume

Pretty decent restaurant for the area we ordered the chicken fajita way more veggie than chicken. It was kind of crazy and spicier than you expected. The steak was good. The french fries were excellent.

Great spot with delicious tacos. VERY clearly marked gluten free menu with lots of options. Very knowledgeable staff. A great spot that also doesn’t break the bank. Sometimes it does get loud inside and occasionally they have live music that can make it tough to hear on weekends. If that bothers you, go on a Tuesday. Excellent food in a beautiful area though!

The venue itself is great — the atmosphere, music, and overall vibe were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the bartender was very rude and unprofessional, which really took away from the experience. It’s disappointing, because this spot has a lot going for it, but the service made it hard to want to come back.

Great small plates. Medium-sized but well-chosen beer list. (Any place that includes a Belgian tripel in these hop-frenzied days is OK by me. Keep it up.)
The place is super inviting with its window seats open to Front Street in the good weather. Love the vibe. Would also love some better vegetarian entrees: think seitan, tofu, chickpeas…you get the picture.

The live music was fantastic, but unfortunately, that was the highlight of the evening. After waiting 10 minutes without any acknowledgment from a waitress, I was met with a jarring amount of indifference when I had to speak up after noticing that the neighboring table was receiving prompt attention after sitting for just a moment. We were sitting directly adjacent to the hostess stand where waitresses/hostesses were engaged in personal gossip, which was totally audible, btw. The food was pretty okay, but the service was so remarkably poor and the severe lack of attention left a bad taste. We sat for a good while after finishing dessert when the waitress came and asked to “run my card”— running a customer’s card without presenting them with the bill is pretty nuts. Unless you’re just after music, I do not recommend this place. There are quite a few reviews stating the same issues, so I’m uncertain of why this persists.

With a varied menu of small seasonal plates, local ingredients and inventive cocktails from behind the bar @galleyscituate has established a loyal following in the Scituate restaurant scene. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted warmly. We were asked, inside or outside. After a short wait we were seated outside. Exactly where we wanted. Our waitress was menu and drinks knowledgeable. Plus she kept checking on us throughout the meal which provided us the opportunity to order additional items. Parmesan Fries, fish tacos and Brussels sprouts. Delicious. Large, local and varied beer selection.
From someone who loves dining out, Galley Scituate with it’s enticing dishes, sexy vide and front windows open with the warm summer beezes blowing in is a fun dining experience. Plus the have weekend entertainment with local bands. It’s the place to be and be seen on Front St. Galley Scituate as local as it gets.
#Keepingitlocal. Highly recommended.
