Shame on us for not trying Parkway sooner. We’ve walked by 100’s of times and finally gave it a try. We were not disappointed. Small but varied menu, great quality food, and prompt friendly service. We were never rushed during the entire meal. Looking forward to returning soon.

Like many other poor reviewers we have been coming here for many years. It was our go-to spot for a nice dinner out, some fine dining without getting dressed up. No more. The past 3 times we’ve come here in the last year, we’ve experienced poor service, fair food, and the prices have gotten stupid high. We don’t mind paying more for quality, however, what we got was not quality. Our server was terrible for our party of 5. We said we were ready to order, and she said she’d be back. She came back 15 minutes later. She gave me incorrect advice about my $39 glass of wine, saying it was 6 ounces, when it was clearly 4 or less. My duck breast was more fat than meat, and the promised “sides” were nothing but swirls on the plate. Again, took forever to get the check, I had to ask twice. Server never came by after our entrees were dropped off to make sure all was fine with the order (it wasn’t). Three strikes and you’re out, Parkway, too bad, you used to be great!

Looks small but it has several rooms towards the back making it big but cozy. Cocktails and wine are always delicious. But the food is why I keep going back! The chef is excellent and you can be sure whatever is on the menu is going to be perfect! Whenever my husband and I come to the Bethany Beach area, we eat at Parkway!

Our dining experience was a total delight. Although there was a limited menu, it was diverse, with all of it being brilliant. I started with the cream of asparagus soup, which was light and tasty. The beet and spinach salad was refreshing with a delicious vinaigrette. For my main, I had the shrimp and scallops scampi. This also was amazing, and not too overwhelming. Just the right amount of garlic with tender scallops and jumbo shrimp. For dessert, we shared the NY cheesecake. It was creamy and exquisite. Service was friendly and accommodating. Overall, a great dining experience.

This beautiful restaurant looks so small from the outside but just wait until you are in, it’s so spacious and nice inside. Their food was amazing, I order spaghetti with shrimp and it was delish! The food was very light and very tasty!

We had a reservation this evening. I called ahead to see if we could come early. I verified that we would be seated at the bar; they said we could come 15 minutes early and neglected to say that they pushed our reservation to a table instead.
It’s really not appealing to see teenage girls working up front with their bras hanging out as they’re seating people.
I can’t, for the life of me, understand why the gluten free items on the menu are not marked as gluten free. We walked out simply for that reason. My friend has a genuine gluten allergy. She gets extremely sick if she consumes gluten. We couldn’t take the chance.
We won’t be back. The food is good from the other times I’ve been there, but the rest of this ruins it.

I hate to leave negative reviews. I know how tough it is with so many options when it comes to dining out and take out but they gave us 2 of the worst dishes we’ve ever had.
They have a prime beef carpaccio as an appetizer. And the dish was three tiny balls of ground meat with three leaves of arugula and two cherry tomatoes. The ground meat balls were the size of pistachio nuts. See my photos below.
The shrimp and scallops in their scampi pasta were just parboiled in a watered down sauce, it seemed as though when they strained the spaghetti they left way too much pasta water on it. They took fresh seafood and wasted it in an overly watered down sauce.

My husband and I enjoyed a lovely dinner here with impeccable service. Our waitress was wonderful and paid the perfect amount of attention, was knowledgable about the menu, and set the tone for the meal.
We arrived without a reservation on a very rainy and cold Friday night and were easily sat in the back. The bar area is lovely but it’s much larger than it appears with a lot of seating in the back two rooms.
We chose a wedge salad, my husband ordered the fisherman’s stew and I had their salmon. All were very good though the stew was the star of the show with tons of fresh fish.
For dessert we had coffee and their flourless chocolate hazelnut torte. Again, yum!

The team at parkway is very friendly, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing.
My girlfriend got the Shrimp and Scallops pasta, and I got the Halibut (I believe?) special. The pasta was quite good, and the halibut special was acceptable (although the vegetables were a bit boring and the halibut seemed under seasoned). The Mai Thai cocktail was very enjoyable.
From my limited experience in Bethany Beach, I’d say The Parkway is a good place to spend an evening, though I was admittedly slightly underwhelmed with my food.

An empty restaurant when we walked in at opening and were seated at the worst table. Requested another table and it seemed a major endeavor. I have never seen this type of thing before at any restaurant. The food is great. The waitress was a bit too caffeinated or something.
