Reviews
Patio is absolutely stunning and symphony nights just make it even more magical.
Food was great too. Our server Meredith was amazing on top of everything!
Definitely gonna come back!
First time going there for Birthday dinner.
Food was good but a little dry, staff were friendly however the waitress didn’t check up on us as often specially when it got a bit busy.
The set up was amazing, very romantic and peaceful.
Will definitely go back
Worth the experience
We signed a contract that clearly stated pickup time was scheduled for 1:00 AM. However, when we arrived at that time, security refused to let us in, telling us we had to wait until “all guests leave.” We waited patiently until around 1:30 AM and asked again if we could begin our breakdown. The security guard curtly replied, “Not any time soon, there are still guests here,” despite the visible absence of guest activity.
Frustrated but still professional, we went around to the back to retrieve our candles and decor that were placed outside. To our surprise, all the tables were already cleared, and our materials had been moved without any notification. It was clear that the event had wrapped up, and there was no legitimate reason for the delay or the treatment we received.
Throughout the process, staff and managers were dismissive, unprofessional, and at times outright rude. We were laughed at, questioned aggressively about our company name, and made to feel like our presence was a nuisance rather than part of the team that helped make the event beautiful. It was clear we were being treated differently—perhaps due to our age—which is unacceptable in any professional environment.
To future couples and vendors:
While the idea of having a wedding in a castle is magical, I would strongly advise against booking with Casa Loma if you value respect, professionalism, and fair treatment of your vendors. A beautiful venue means nothing if the staff behind it lack courtesy and integrity.
We left feeling disrespected and dismissed—not because of any failure on our part, but because we were young professionals trying to do our job.
You need to book through OpenTable and there is no other way around it. They usually get fully booked way ahead of time; especially if you want to go in with a group of people.
There are limited parking spots available in the castle parking lot and Upon arrival, you need to pay $15 to be able to use the parking. The hostess didn’t seem that welcoming or friendly. We waited a few minutes to be seated. We ordered Martini, Rose and Mojito for drinks and medium “Steak Frites”, “Brisket & Chuck Burger” and “Grilled Octopus” for our meal. Our drinks tasted ok, steak was delicious, but the brisket was burned, which is not acceptable for a high-end restaurant, but I guess they believe people go there for the view and not the food quality!
Once we were finished with our meal and our waitress made sure we’re not ordering anymore, she brought us the bill without asking, even though there were many empty tables. So, we paid and did a walk around the garden and fountain and left.
When we got there, they sat us at a makeshift table, it looks like those tables that were not meant to be dining table, as both me and my partner could not at all put our legs in front of us, we literally had to put our legs on the side or sit like a squat.
We then waited a good 15 minutes until our server came, thinking the hostess forgot to notify the waiter we were seated, but the waiter that served us we saw walk around our table a good 3 to 4 times.
We are this point were ready to order our meal, we got tap water as we were already annoyed at the service and just wanted to eat and look at the view.
I ordered the brisk burger while my partner ordered the grilled salmon. The burger was overcooked and dried, no sauce at all, the brie was on half the burger, the leaf/lettuce was a small little thing that didn’t even cover the burger, had ONE small tomato slice. Then comes the fries, totally undercooked, not seasoned, for that meal to be $24, I could get something a lot better somewhere else.
The grilled salmon on the other hand, costing $30, he expected the salmon to be either wild or organic, it was neither. It had a small balsamic vinegar salad, then the salmon has no sauce, literally a drop the size of your thumb of lemon aioli, enough for a bite and a half. The only good part of the salmon, is the 4 asparagus that the salmon was on.
At the end, when we ask for the waiter for the bill, he came over with the bill, but was hovering over us when we were paying, gesturing for a minimum of 20% tip.
Overall, not worth the price or time, would rather pay for admission and just take pictures of the castle and gardens.
