We had a chance to stop by for a quick lunch. Overall, the food is great. We’ve been to the one in Brunswick many times, but again, we happened to be in the area. So, it’s worth a quick stop. If you haven’t had the chance to try their empanadas, they are excellent.

There is no street parking in front, you will need to park behind the building or on the side street. The empamada’s are large with alot of filling. We had tried 4 different ones. Beef, chicken, Cuban and meat lovers. The meat lovers did have more cheese than meat. The other 3 tasted bland, no flavor. But the sweet plantains were greasy but tasted good.

Tried for the first time several months ago. Food was fantastic. However today the fried pork was more like fried chunks of fat. Plantains were dry, hard with no sweetness at all. Obviously several days old. Girl at the counter looked like I was bothering her. Won’t bother ordering again from this establishment.

Visited on 1-18-26 & completely regretted it. All we did was waste our money. This wasn’t our first visit here – we have been here in the past, but it’s been a while. Sadly out experience wasn’t anything like it to use be. Usually when places expand you think they are doing great but unfortunately this place didn’t seem like that to us. We were never greeted when we walked in, nobody came to the counter to ask us to take our order but we noticed the device to place our order so we did that. My husband & daughter both got 2 empanadas each, my daughter got rice & my husband got the beans. My husband. My husbands order both empanadas short on meat & they were very dry, the beans tasted like shit so those got dumped. My daughter had almost no meat so she basically had an empty empanada (I did get a picture of hers because she was so upset) she said rice was ok. I open my meal which was the pork & rice. Pork was tender but barely any given definitely not like it use to be and I agreed with my daughter the rice was just ok. We use to love this place but now it just became a big disappointment & mark off our list of places to visit from time to time. We spent just about $60 to still be hungry because of the portion of food & quality of food they provided. I guess not all places know how to stay good for their customers!

I can’t rave enough about this place! It’s hands down my favorite empanada spot, even though we now live half an hour away. I always go for the gluten free ground beef empanadas. This time, my husband picked some up, but we ended up with shredded beef instead. Honestly, that was a surprise, and not what I was craving. Even though it was technically our misunderstanding (the receipt did say shredded beef!), I drove back in the pouring rain. Despite the language barrier, they kindly got someone on the phone, and they remade them for me with ground beef. They didn’t have to, but they did, and I was beyond grateful.
As always, the empanadas were delicious! This kind of service and kindness is why I’ll keep coming back, no matter the drive. To the wonderful ladies who made it happen—you really made my day, and I so appreciate you. Thank you again!

I was in the area on a Tuesday around 11:30am and was looking for some good Empanadas. The name of this place is Empanadas so I thought they would have some great Empanadas, I was wrong. I ordered 8 different Empanadas (beef, chicken, chicken cheese, pizza, chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken, bacon egg cheese, meat lovers) and none were amazing. 2 of the 8 (bacon egg cheese, meat lovers) were burned and not edible. I only tried the Empanadas, but I probably won’t be back to try the other food. I don’t recommend eating here.

I really wanted to give a positive review but…. I tried this place when it first opened yrs ago. It was pretty good but I never went back. I saw that they really expanded the menu so I tried it again. The chicken skewers were pretty good but the rice and fried plantains not so much. The Cuban Sandwich was so sloppy drowning in grease and mustard. Impossible to eat because they didn’t cut the bottom bun in half. The biggest fail to me was the sweet, bread & butter pickles used instead of dill! I’ve had traditional CS from many places, never without dill pickles! The Nutella & strawberry empanada was just chocolate syrup that mostly leaked out all over the bag. ZERO strawberry and it tasted like old grease. $45 and I could barely salvage a meal. The workers seemed nice but there was a language barrier. I wish I could give a better review. It’s a shame, I live in Parma and pass it all the time.

was super excited to try this place, but unfortunately I walked in and nobody came to serve me when they finally did she didn’t greet me looked at me like I didn’t belong there so i left. I’m not going to order food and support a business that doesn’t even have basic customer service. Looks like stuff sits out all day long anyways. Oh well.

I had heard good about this restaurant from a friend who lives closer to Cleveland than myself. Since I was in the Cleveland area one recent afternoon, I was excited to try a basic and simple taste test. Their menu seems to focus a lot on their empanadas, and since I also had a craving for some, I ordered two of them, in just the classic flavors I remember from growing up with relatives from PR: the beef mixture for one, and the 3-cheese for the other. Sadly I regret to say that the flavor’s fell flat and disappointed me, plus the pastry on the cheese empanada was heavy and over-fried/somewhat burned, which imparted a burned flavor to the rest. The ambiance there is the basic walk-in and order your meal, and it did appear clean, but the seating consisted of only about two tables, so expect to carry out. I’ll give them the benefit of the doubt and rate them 3 stars because maybe they just were having a bad day, but as it stands at the moment, it’s NOT a place I would go out of my way to visit again. If I do try again, I’ll try one of their meals that include mofongo and PR rice (though I didn’t check closely to see if it was “arroz con gandules”) and perhaps that might impress.

I wanted to have something delicious, this place took 20 mins to give me food that was already precooked. Then I drove 30 mins to this place, got my food drove 30 mins back home. Just to open my food and see that I wasted $30 on this meal.
Specifically this “meal” that was $13. They gave me 3 and a half pieces of meat! I was so upset. This is my favorite Spanish meal! And it was very bland, tasted like it was leftovers from the day before. When I called to ask why I was only given 3 pieces of meat the woman told me come back she will give me more. I told her I lived far away and she told me she couldn’t do refunds over the phone .
