This place is fire ! I travel for work all day an was coming back from MN to Chicago. I’m very skeptical on my mexican food. but this place caught my eye! . So I pulled up and Came inside instantly smelled amazing! I ordered taco dinner w jarrito was solid 10/10 instantly felt like I was back home. This family owned restaurant has beautifully prepared food. The high quality shows how much the staff relishes perfection and authenticity. The flautas are delightful! Took one of each tamale to a friend who is pretty particular about only buying from food carts and he said these were even better! The owners make it a point to talk to every customer and welcome them. Definitely a family business where food is served with love and pride and every meal is a celebration. And yes there is a wonderful salsa bar. It’s mostly hot so be ready for spicy! Love love love El Guero

First time trying Tamales El Guero, I had the 3 steak taco dinner with beans and rice for take out. It is delicious! They were quite friendly and the order was ready very quickly. The restaurant has a very nice vibe inside, I think I will have to dine in next time! Give them a try!

The food is Great BUT the Rude Cashier/server is the reason many do not go back!!!! she hates her job and has the worst attitude. If you don’t giver her your order within seconds she’s huffing and puffing with zero patience. Sad that they have someone like that being your first impression of the restaurant.

Food is always great , very delicious! The agua de piña is the yummiest! Best tacos al pastor en town .. i reccomend to anyone this place. Only downside is you have to pick up your own plates , & garbage . Very great and friendly service everytime i go.
