I met a friend at Elie’s Mediterranean in Birmingham after work and we had a really nice experience. She ordered the Lebanese salad, which looked fresh and delicious, and I had the grill combo — everything was very flavorful and well prepared.
We also loved the complimentary bread served at the beginning. Overall, it was a relaxed spot to catch up, and I’d definitely like to come back and explore more of the menu when we have a bit more time.

This is the second time Ive been here and it has since been remodeled and the menu changed. I must say it was much better this time.
Service: The service was amazing even for a large party of 7. I wish I remembered our waitresses name. She was engaging, attentive, and knowledgeable about the dishes and cooking style.
Atmosphere: The inside authentic is so cute and charming. Great to take a couple pictures. The chairs were comfortable and the bathroom stocked and clean, which is always appreciated.
Food: the taste of the food was flavorful and light. The pistachio crusted whitefish was particularly nice. It wasn’t fishy and fell apart beautifully. The pistachios added a nice crunch to the overall softness of the dish. The Gallaba was so fun and colorful. They also added a large amount of chicken (or whatever meat u pick); they didn’t skimp at all!!
Would definitely come again.

Yes Metro Detroit has a lot of Middle Eastern restaurants. But Ellie’s is still my favorite. High quality. Large portions. Home made warm pita. May be higher than some other places, but quality is much higher. New renovations are beautiful.

Group of 3 stopped in after the city council meeting across the street and were promptly seated. Our server was delightful and friendly! She was a wonderful breath of fresh air (wish I could remember her name!)
The food came fast and was full of flavor. The ingredients were fresh. Hands down the BEST baba ghanoush in town! I love the salads and the dressing!!!! Fried cauliflower is amazing too!!! Everything is so delicious.

I hosted my 24th birthday at Elie’s out on the deck and I had the BEST time. It was so nice to have all of my favorite people together in my favorite place (: it was so perfect. From the food (which is always amazing) to the service, to the meticulous care Elie, Paul, Christina, and everyone else put in, I couldn’t have asked for a better night. They are truly the best of the best.

The restaurant was renovated to a more open area space. My wife and I did not care for it. It didn’t seem as cozy as it was before. My wife ordered the spicy espresso martini, and it was not spicy and the glass was only half full. I ordered a dirty martini but was just made straight up.I ordered the Lamb Shawarma and the meat was dry and not fresh at all. It was very disappointing. My wife ordered a tomato based dish which she enjoyed. Not sure if this restaurant has changed ownership, but it doesn’t seem to be the same quality as when we visited before. The restaurant was not busy at all at 7 o’clock, so maybe that was an indication

I recommend sticking to the appetizers or small plates. A lot of their apps are really good! The entrees were not that great. The crab cakes were not good at all, there was a contradicting sauce that overpowered all the flavors. But they do have a nice ambiance and they do have good starters.

We were a group of seven last night, and Megan was our server. It was a fun evening, with a great dinner, and Megan did such an amazing job! We started at an outside table, but when it got chilly Megan moved us all inside…. she did it seamlessly, remembering each of our beverage orders and putting us at a great table inside. We all agreed that her service and the food were wonderful.
