We are Bang Bang Noodles and what started as a street food concept and with the love & support of our customers we have grown to brick & mortar locations in Culver City & Downtown Los Angeles. Our food is a modern take of the traditional Biang Biang noodles which are a type of noodle popular in the cuisine of China’s Shaanxi Province. The noodles, touted as one of the eight strange wonders of Shaanxi (陕西八大怪) and Xi’an being the capital city, are described as being like a belt, owing to their thickness and length.

Reviews
We ordered the Szechuan Garlic noodles (dry) with lamb, the Dan Dan noodles w/ pork, cucumber salad and scallion pancake – everything was delicious and authentic.
Noodles were freshly hand pulled and had great texture and bite. Sauce was flavorful but not over powering, overall we very much enjoyed the food.
There’s a slight wait but thats to be expected… hand pulled noodles are a craft, theyre pulled to order and not machine processed so it takes longer.
The service was alright, but the atmosphere was lacking a bit. There was one table in front, and a few in the back, but the seating wasn’t that comfortable or clean. I would say this place is best for takeout.
Overall, it was a good meal but I’m not sure if I’d recommend this place because I’ve had better! But perhaps some of the other noodles on the menu are less heavy.
This is a window order/takeout and my initial annoyance was they added a 20% for something I was picking up. Tipping culture/expectations is awful… for what? Cooking my food? It’s already overpriced.
Additionally, the noodles were overpowered by the hot pepper paste… and I love spice for sure. This was inedible bc all I tasted with this sauce. No ounce of garlic and could not finish bc there was nothing to break this. $6 for a tiny cup of cucumbers and subpar dumplings.
Never ordering from here again. Nothing like the original bang bang noodles. Ruined my Friday lunch and now looking for another lunch.
We got the Szechuan Garlic Noodles, Tingly Cumin noodles, and cucumber side dish! The owner was in store and it was so fun to hear about how he thoughtfully created his recipes on putting his own spicy twist to these dishes. He sold us on also having us try the strawberry aqua Fresca which is the perfect dessert(?) drink to wash down all the spice and chili oil goodness. It’s pretty nice at night with the string lights and cool summer breeze. And what’s better is that there was easy parking despite being in this part of town!
Thanks so much Bang Bang for not only the amazing food, but also incredible service! We look forward to our next visit!
Szechuan Garlic Noodles – ($18) – Just an FYI , the noodles alone are $15, if you were to add any proteins, which they supposedly added in the video it’s an extra charge. And it was like 3 extra pieces of thinly sliced beef. Noodle texture was great, fresh, bouncy and held onto the flavor very well. Noodles alone I would have given a raving review, but we know we aren’t here for just the noodles. The noodles were coated in an EXTREMELY salty sauce. We weren’t even able to taste any garlic flavors. By the time we reached the bottom of the bowl, a pool of oil was sitting on the bottom with the rest of the garnishes that were deemed basically inedible from being doused in a hellfire of salt and oil.
So, in summary; would not recommend. Preaching to avoid.
