I’m honestly very disappointed with the veg fried rice I ordered. I specifically asked for extra veggies, and yes they did add extra vegetables but unfortunately, most of them were almost raw and undercooked. It completely ruined the texture and overall experience.

The biggest letdown was the taste. The fried rice did not have that authentic flavor you expect from something cooked in a proper Chinese wok. There was absolutely no smoky, burnt “wok hei” flavor that gives fried rice its signature taste. It honestly felt like plain rice tossed together rather than properly stir fried. If I’m being honest, it would have been better if I had just cooked some rice at home and mixed it with a packet of pre made salad veggies from Costco that’s how basic it tasted.

The fried rice disappointed me sooooo much.

That being said, I want to be fair the staff were friendly and informative, and the ambiance was clean and simple. Also, I’ve tried their dosas a few times before and they are really, really delicious!

Amrutha Villas has become one of my go-to spots in Carrollton. Their food is enjoyable, and the staff at the order counter are usually very cordial. I especially love their snack items — the samosas are great, and the gulgula plus Irani tea is a favorite in our home (my wife loves it!).

They also have a fantastic biryani offer on Wednesdays, which is always worth the visit. I find myself stopping by regularly to grab chicke65 & Vijayawada Chicken biryani. Highly recommend for anyone craving solid South Indian and snack options in the area.

Went for the breakfast buffet on Sunday. The food was standard South Indian fare, by which I mean a cross between kannadiga, telegu and tamilian. Buffet had different types of mini dosas, idli, puri, vada, baats, chutneys, sambar etc. And at $11 per person, unlimited, it is a good deal. Quality is not in the league as a Saravana bhavan, but then neither are the prices, so it’s fair.

But here’s the problem. Except for idli, most of the trays were empty most of the time. You would be standing in line waiting for food to be replenished, and the second it comes, everyone pounces, and blink and it’s all over once again. I don’t know if this was because we went on a Sunday morning, or whether this is how they control food portions/consumption, or they are genuinely short staffed, it made the experience terribly frustrating and unappealing. And tea/coffee is extra. I just wish they would increase prices and make it a more enjoyable and comprehensive experience.

The atmosphere is typical cafe/mess hall. It’s supposed to be self service, but read the paragraph above once again.

We ordered food for a birthday party and were thoroughly impressed! The quality was excellent and every guest was satisfied with the meal. What made it even better was the service—the person who took our order was very responsive, friendly, and professional. It’s rare to find such great food paired with such attentive service. We will definitely be ordering again!

Ordered Chicken 65 dosa 1+1 dosa on Thursday but only gave one clearly their employees are unaware about their own promotional offer . Also dosa came out very crisp and flaky even after specifying it to be soft & chicken 65 had lot of food color or turmeric which made my had look in yellowish color. Prior week placed chicken starter spicy for takeout but tasted blunt and tasteless.

This is absolutely disgraceful.
I ordered a veg combo curry today and was served spoilt dal that reeked with a nauseating smell. This is not just poor service — it is a blatant disregard for basic food hygiene and customer safety. Serving rotten food is dangerous, irresponsible, and could make people seriously ill.

Shame on you for allowing this to be delivered to a customer. If this is how you operate, then you have no right to be in the food business. I will be filing a formal complaint with the Food Safety Authority so strict action can be taken against such appalling negligence.

Love the food , but service is horrible

I placed an order. The cashier comes by tells the other cashier to not sell me the food ?!?

Then says it’s 30 min , I say that’s ok

He states the chef just left . It’s 5:00 and there’s people packed so if there’s no chef there’s no food right.

Boom I order on ubereats and I get my food ……. Idk what the deal is but you could have said u ain’t tryna make it

Since I ordered on ubereats thank you to the ghost chef of made my food since the real chef wasn’t there

The food tasted great, the service was quick and I would go back to this place. Baby corn Manchuria was on point, podi masala dosa was good and the we tried the Malai kofta biryani which was great. I just wanted to give a try how they would make the Malai kofta biryani but it was on point. Double ka Meeta was good but more sugary for me. May be less sugar and if not deep fried it would have been great may be

Indian restaurants in Dallas are pretty overrated. The price and the quality of food never match. The rice for biryani is cooked in the morning and mixed with the whatever meat we order. and all the snacks sit there throughout the day on an oven, but the prices for these items were never below $15.

Surprisingly, I visited Amruta Vilas yesterday and tried their lunch Thali, a delicious food I have eaten after a long time in any Indian restaurant in Dallas. The price is $10, and the amount of food served is astonishing. They served biryani rice, two types of chicken curry, one chicken appetizer, tandoori, chicken leg, and a dessert. The staff is amicable, too.
I will skip going to cliché places like Hyderabad House, Pista House, Desi Chowrasta, Bawarchi, Desi District and their subsidiaries moving forward
I hope This place keeps the same standards in their food quality and hopefully never increases the prices

Today I’ve tried their malai kofta biryani , it was very delicious, it was freshly made , and had correct amount of spice to it , the malai kofta balls were really soft , the staff suggested us that biryani instead of panner as we asked , and the staff were friendly too , definitely will come back to try their dosas and other items .
And we also tried their honey pecean ice cream it was really good.
