If you’re anywhere near the Grand Prairie Reserve Center in Texas, Vicky’s Mexican Restaurant is the kind of spot that quickly becomes a go-to.
Located just outside the gate, Vicky’s Mexican Restaurant delivers truly authentic Mexican cuisine at prices that make it easy to come back again and again. This isn’t a watered-down version of Mexican food — it’s the real deal. From fresh, house-made tortillas to rich, slow-simmered sauces, every dish carries bold flavor and tradition.
Their tacos are packed and seasoned perfectly, the enchiladas are covered in deeply flavored red or green sauce, and the carne guisada is tender and comforting — the kind of meal that reminds you of home cooking. Breakfast plates hit just as hard, especially the huevos rancheros and breakfast burritos loaded with fresh ingredients.
Portions are generous, service is warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere feels like a neighborhood staple where everyone is treated like family. Whether you’re stopping in after drill, grabbing lunch between training events, or bringing the family for dinner, Vicky’s consistently delivers quality without breaking the bank.
Authentic flavors. Fair prices. Right outside the Reserve Center.
Vicky’s is the spot.

As soon as you step in this recently renovated little hidden gem in the corner of Grand Prairie you can sense their love for México and the atmosphere there makes you feel like getting into a fondita from a pueblo mágico in Michoacán, everything is delicious but café con canela (a traditional coffe with a pinch of real cinnamon) and hand made as you order corn tortillas make this place outstandingly unique, plus service and owner take care of customers with a smile on their faces, so next time you want to eat authentic Michoacan food in you live in DFW you don’t have a passport, just drive to Vicky’s.

Just incredible! I’ve eaten a lot of Mexican food around town, and this place tops them all. Everything has a home made taste, especially the beans and rice. None of that flavorless brown junk in a can served here! We will be repeat customers for sure.

1st time here so I tried the menudo and it was good. No hominy in it though. The chorizo plate was also good. The coffee has cinnamon in it. Over all it was a good experience. Well definitely try it again soon.

It’s OK, nothing to rave about. The restaurant equivalent to a 5 seat hole in the wall bar. Cash only sales and expensiveat that. Would not recommend. Don’t waste the trip or your time just go to Taco Bell you’ll be happier.
