This is a very special place. You have to be on the guest list and they’re only open one day a week, a few times a year but it’s totally worth it. The guy starts making the meal the night before and it shows! Fresh, warm tortillas, homemade Pico and everything is fresh!

Whenever I’m in the Huntsville area, I always make a point to stop by Juan Verde’s Taqueria. It’s good, no-nonsense food at fair prices—exactly what you want from an authentic taqueria. The hours can be a bit sporadic, but if you catch it open, don’t miss out.
On my last visit, Juan Verde himself was behind the grill, cooking up his traditional favorites, and you can really taste the passion in every bite. Highly recommend!
