Should change the name to Sparta Cheese bread. $21.00+tip=$25 dollar cheese bread with an occasional pepperoni! Pizza was very dry no sauce. At least the cheese is not corporate chain restaurant cheese. The spinach calzone add chicken is a winner. But the pizza is not it! Like it has no substance, you can see how it breaks apart when cut and it’s double cut at that. Very thin too like flattened out cheese bread!

Ordered delivery 2 large pizzas (pepperoni & al pastor) and 20 wings. The al pastor pizza was hands down the best, super good flavor. Pepperoni was solid and the wings hit the spot. Everything came hot and fresh and delivery was smooth. Definitely gonna order again, especially for that al pastor pizza!

Some things never change, and sometimes that’s awesome. When we lived in Anchorage in the 2010’s, we used to regularly eat in at Sparta. They’re primarily a take out place, but they have a few tables. We were always impressed by the excellent food, kind workers, and reasonable prices. We stopped in with our crew of four kiddos on a return trip to Anchorage, and literally nothing had changed. The workers were super friendly, and the food was good as always. They make the best calzone you’ll ever have, and the Greek pizza is excellent!

Honestly, the pizza itself is really tasty. But they left off two of the toppings on my pizza so I’m a bit disappointed that I paid for something I didn’t get. Just check your pizza before you leave.

Sad to say the Gyros have changed and we won’t be back. The service was also much worse. Used to be amazing now they seem to be prepackaged meat much lower quality wrap and fries. We wouldn’t have minded prices going up but were very disappointed to see the quality go down so much we had been going for over 6 years. The last time I ordered delivery we had the same issue and they forgot the taziki sauce but we thought it was a fluke and went to dine in to try again but sadly it just confirmed things had changed.
