I think this particular cafe was very cute and cozy. There were some seating and I loved the fireplace and old historic plaque. I am assuming it’s housed in a historic building. The employees were friendly and the drinks were tasty. I decided on their seasonal pistachio latte. The pickup area was located to the right of the counter. Overall, a nice Starbucks with tasty drinks.
Spent over an hour in here waiting for one coffee and 4 breakfast sandwiches. Half of the people behind the counter were either unwilling or unable to help, the other half were overworked from picking up the slack. One person had the absolute chutzpah to “brainstorm” a message to write on someone’s coffee when there were 10+ people in the queue. One online order was fulfilled while I waited at 2pm and said it was ordered at 9am that morning.
If you value your time AT ALL skip this Starbucks
Oh no good experience. Oh yeah and let me know. I forget to mention the tea is absolutely bomb and usually other Starbucks pets to make it a bit sweet I asked him not to and she got this one on point so great job. Thank you guys.
I understand they’re very busy and maybe short staffed, but cleansiness is very important, especially for a place of business
The team members are relatively approachable with little exception to say the least. I find many of them to be friendly and open to small conversations. Who I believe to be the store manager ( I have not confirmed this) is always smiling, communicating with hospitality. She seems to be kind to her team members as well.
My drink is typically made consistently and swift. I would say of the dozen or so Starbucks I have been to in this area ( western CT and MA) I have never had to have a drink remade here nor have I begrudgingly taken a order knowing its off but not having time to resolve it.
The bathrooms and lobby are both particularly clean here. I would say while there are times when I have to clean crumbs and coffee/beverage rings off the table where I will be studying, I am finding I have to clean a customer work surface far less than many other locations. the hand dryers in the bathroom are entirely too close to the sink, which presents an issue for sanitation and safety: when I go to dry my hands from washing, any suds and water left in the sink is blasted onto the floor and toilet seat presenting both hygiene and slip/fall issues for patrons. Moving these devices even 6-10 inches from the sink will resolve this problem.
The atmosphere here can range from quiet to completely packed! I have come here at times and frustratingly had to leave without ordering because there is nowhere to sit. while they have many places to sit and work, they get so busy that those spaces can fill up pretty quickly. I don’t know if there is a way to add more seating or spaces for study but I would imagine that could help. I would suggest for their spaces that are not adjacent a wall, they could work on adding electrical outlets alternatives (floor outlets or something). I would say not having a place to sit and study is the only truly frustrating thing about this location. I have had to go to alternative locations which are far less Ideal.
I go past at least one location to get to this one specifically for all of the things I discussed above. again the only truly frustrating thing I find here is the seating when its busy. Also don’t bother calling the phone number listed here as I have tried on multiple occasions and after 30 seconds or ringing the call disconnects automatically
