This was our first time eating at The Rice Hat and we will definitely return. We’ve been trying to find a good Chinese restaurant, and this is the first one that we have truly enjoyed. The portions were huge. Loved the egg rolls.

Probably the best wonton soup I’ve ever had but it got cold super fast because it’s served in a metal bowl, soup bowls should be a good insulator (like porcelain) not a metal conductor that sucks all the heat out. General tso chicken looked great presentation wise and the sauce was good but it was over cooked / tough and hard to chew (maybe not the best cuts of chicken too). Egg roll was delicious, fried rice was not bad. I would come back because overall I think this place is really good and has potential but could be a little better with some minor adjustments.

We loved everything about this place! The food, service and atmosphere This is the same owner from pho life so we knew the food was gonna be amazing. We got: ramen, general tso chicken, orange chicken, pork belly, and udon. Not pictured is the garlic edamame which was delish. If yall haven’t been, please go try it ASAP!!

My family and I LOVE this place. We live in Sinton so it’s a bit of a drive, but it’s always worth it. My husband and I are regulars for either date night or when our kids just don’t feel like joining us. We eat here maybe every other week but for sure at least once a month for the past year. Kevin is our go-to server. We’ve established a great relationship with him so we call ahead to see if he’s there and if he’s not, we just wait for another day to go. Everything we have tried here tastes amazing. Service and food is always great and I never know what I want to try next. If there are any bad reviews, I’m sure it’s because that person was either in a bad mood or maybe just trying to get free food. I always forget to take pictures of my food, but I normally get the Bun Bowl with steak. I’ve also tried the General Tso Chicken and tonight I had the Glass Noodle Soup. ALL of them are so good!!

Our server was excellent, and the food was exceptional. Fried wonton were super crisp, huge, and filled with stuffing. Hawaii fried rice was awesome and my wife’s Salt and pepper prawns were great, she said it had good spice with the jalapeños. Location was very fresh and clean inside.

Fire Marshall would have a hay day here. I ordered food with no Jalepenos and it was full of Jalepenos. They said they re made it but nope they put it on a different plate and re served it. Quality of other food was subpar. Husband had happy family and it had very little meat and said it was gross. There is cobwebs and nasty on ceiling. The workers were more worried about sitting down and having snacks. The rice didn’t even taste right.

Nice find in this small town, the chicken fried rice in the pineapple was very filling and got a good amount of portions, the crab rangoons is amazing too

Dumplings were good along with The Hat fried rice was very good. It was enough to share between the two of us.

First time here and it was AMAZING! The pho was the best I have had in a long time! The crab ragoons are the best ones around here for sure too! I’m mad that I have lived here for about 3 years now and still have never tried it till now! Will fore sure be coming back and trying other things on the menu but for sure getting those crab ragoons again!
