We stopped in to Dottie’s a few weeks ago and it was so fun!!

Customer Service: 10/10
We LOVED our time at Dottie’s! They showed us around their kitchen and we were able to help out with making some beignets! All the employees were awesome and we had a fun time meeting all of them! Their drive thru is speedy and efficient!

Menu: 8/10
They have a ton of options for snacks and drinks! Kolaches, sweet treats, beignets, soda and other drinks!

Price: 9/10
Kolaches are $1.75, and their Breakfast/Lunch Kolaches are $3. This is an awesome price because they are pretty big and filling! All the snacks are priced appropriately!

Taste: 8/10
Hands down, you have to go to Dottie’s and try their BEIGNETS. They were SO yummy and we have been dreaming about them ever since. They gave us some beignets with maple glaze on top and they were . Their dough for their kolaches was awesome! We tried the Dr. McCreamy and April O’Neal drinks and our fave was the April O’Neal! It was Mtn. Dew with pomegranate and fresh lime!

OVERALL: 7/10
We 10/10 recommend getting their beignets!! They are so fluffy and the dough is amazing!!

DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND EAT HERE! Seriously, it was so tasty. Stopped here today as we were driving through Heber because I needed to go to the bathroom and wanted a little snack. This place makes these homemade rolls stuffed with deliciousness! I got one stuffed with sun-dried tomatoes, spinach, and mozzarella, and another rolled just stuffed with cheese. I could have eaten 6 of them, they were so tasty. I don’t live near Heber but I will be coming back just for this place.

Dottie’s Kolaches in Heber City is such good food. We’re from Texas and know a good kolache when we eat one – and these are outstanding kolaches! They even use sausage from Slovacek’s for their “True Texan” and other sausage-based kolaches. And the other baked goods are awesome as well. We were really sad our timing wasn’t better or we could have enjoyed some authentic New Orleans beignets too. Great place and fantastic owner and employees. Anytime we’re anywhere near Heber, we’ll be stopping at Dottie’s.

First and last time I’m coming here. Don’t waste your money when you can get more filling, hefty kolaches for pretty much the same price. These kolaches don’t compare to other competition I’ve been to (won’t mention name). But they’re not filling at all. One tiny sausage patty that tastes like it’s been store bought and a tiny egg patty with american kraft cheese (really?..) stuffed inside a dough ball where it’s mostly air inside….I felt that I was filled mostly with bread. The only reason I give it 2 stars is because of the peach kolache while everything else I got is subpar to the other competition. Sorry, not sorry but these need more stuffing and maybe they “may” compete with others.

Below: Photo of a fruit kolache…mostly dough than filling.

Wish I could get my money back except for the tip because the gentle man that helped me was cool.

Great service! The Bacon, Egg, and Cheese And the Cream Cheese Kolache were fantastic. Their bread is amazing! The Turkey Pepperjack Kolache was okay, felt like it could have had more flavor and filling. Loved the specialty drinks as well. I will definitely be going back and trying more of everything.
My coworkers got the pepperoni Kolache and really enjoyed it as well.

Update! We made the trek again and ordered our hearts out!

We drove from the valley and arrived to a sign that said sold out. We were so disappointed HOWEVER they were so kind to help us through the drive through anyway for a few Scotcharoos and chocolate chip cookies. Wishing we hadn’t miss out on the Kolaches but if it’s meant to be, it will be. Crossing my fingers to find them at Thirst in the future.

If you’ve never had a Kolache, this is as good a place as any to get acquainted. Has sweet (think fruit filled donut) and savory options for breakfast (think a sausage McMuffin baked inside of a hot roll) or lunch. Reasonably priced too. 10/10 will eat again!

I can’t speak to the fruit or breakfast kolaches (and according to the reviews, those seem to be the best ones) but we got there at 5pm and had several of the lunch ones, and I would say they are good, but not life- changing/amazing (though, I admit the sausage/ meatballs were tasty!

The meal deal is a good amount of food and is basically giving you a free drink for buying 2 kolaches, which is awesome.

The variety was nice (pizza, meatball, veg, etc), but we were disappointed at the amount of filling. I realize the rolls can’t be over-full in order to bake properly, but there was about a 1/2 slice of deli meat in them, and the Hawaiian had a single tidbit of pineapple in it. The pizza and meatball, however, both felt sufficiently filled… and the sausage was really well-seasoned and flavorful.

Overall, I would go there again, but it didn’t quite live up to the profound hype.

I’m so happy I made it back to Dottie’s Kolaches! If you need an authentic Czech pastry…Dottie is your girl. She has all the classic flavors (sweet and savory) plus cinnamon rolls, other baked goods and specialty drinks. She has also partnered with Ruby Snap and has a selection that is baked fresh in house. Today we tried a seasonal raspberry peach roll and it was wonderful! They warmed it up for us and it was gone in 60 seconds. This place has charm and the owner is fabulous.

Is this a joke? Did I seriously just spend $35 on a whole mess of these things? The raspberry thingy was stale along with the blueberry thingy. The bacon, egg and cheese thingy pictured had hardly anything in it, along with the chili dog thingy also pictured. I really don’t understand the good reviews. Save your money and go to the store and get a hot pocket.
