Social Profile:

The first Aloha Salads opened its doors in May of 2006 in the quiet beach town of Kailua, Hawaii. From that day forward, local customers and visitors to Hawai’i have lined up to enjoy the healthy offerings of locally grown Hawaiian fruits and vegetables, gourmet meats and cheeses and delectable home-made dressings. Although there have been additions to the menu since then, the staples of Aloha Salads like the Aloha Passion with Grilled Steak and the Ono Island Ahi remained unchanged. Aloha Salads has expanded since 2006, opening stores in Kahala Mall, Kapolei Commons Pearl Ridge Center, Windward Mall, and Mililani, but its core mission remains the same—to serve healthy, fresh, locally grown food of the finest quality at affordable prices.

Relaxed health- & eco-conscious eatery serving locally sourced salads & sandwiches.

Was in desperate need of fresh veggies and found this gem! All the pre-packaged salads either have meat (which I don’t eat) or fruit (which I’m allergic to). This place saved me from going crazy!

The worker was super nice and kind and gave us a menu so we didn’t have to keep squinting up at the sign.

Ordered the Aloha Mediterranean with no garbanzo beans, and it was so refreshing! Everything tasted fresh and delicious! I got the regular size, and they really pack in a ton of veggies!

Thank you for exisiting on this meat and carb based island!!!

Ordered large Aloha Passion with grilled steak and a chicken pesto wrap. Cashier was patient and helpful as I decided on the order. They gave me chicken with my salad instead of grilled steak. It seemed like they would have corrected the order but I accepted it as is anyway. The salad was large, generous, and visually appealing. However, as I got into the salad, there was so much of the greens that were wilted and inedible — it really defeated the purpose of getting the large. Appreciated the sliced grapes (and other fruits), but some of the grapes had white mold/fungus on them and tasted like mold. Pretty much lost my appetite for the rest of the salad after that. Chicken pesto wrap was simple, but good. Strongly recommend the staff examine the ingredients closely before putting it in the salads. No one wants to eat wilted/decaying lettuce and moldy grapes and it becomes a waste of money.

I decided to give this place a try while I was running some errands looking for a quick healthy bite as I was familiar with the Kahala location. I knew that the food was real fresh and healthy. All of those statements are true for this location. The only thing I noticed was maybe it was the time of day, but service was much slower than in Kahala so while the food was still just as tasty fresh and healthy, I didn’t feel like a quick bite to eat. Also, the seating is not ideal, but that’s not aloha salad’s fault that’s Windward mall, just be prepared to walk around to try to find a seat that you’re not awkwardly sitting in front of the staff that just handed you your salad.

Got the aloha gyro wrap just now. The amount of LETTUCE on this thing is absolutely criminal. Charging people almost $14.00 for pita bread a tiny amount of actual meat and a whole bunch of lettuce is insane to me. I’m surprised there aren’t more reviews about this tbh. Look in the review photos you’ll see a picture of it!! SO MUCH LETTUCE. Dummy me for not checking reviews first I guess. Def will not be fooled next time!!!

Aloha Salads is a great addition to Windward, offering some of the only healthier options. I tried the gyro and was quite impressed. The chicken and lamb flavor was tasty with a distinctly Greek flavor. I’m excited to try their salads which come with the same goddess dressing.

First timer to this location!
.
Staff are shy. Barely explained the menu. Barely heard her list the customizable options from across the register. Failed to call out names for completed orders, meaning food sat on the counter unclaimed.
.
Food itself was yummy! Steak wrap in pita and chicken pesto on ciabatta bread hit the spot for a mid-morning, brunch kind of meal.
Both can get sloppy very quickly! No forks available, just knives. Be prepared to eat with your hands at some point.

I LOVE THE SALADS HERE! But why did you have to change the dressing for Island Ono Island Ahi from Mango to Passion Orange?? I can’t eat my favorite salad anymore cuz I am allergic to oranges. Is Mango that expensive and Passion Orange is cheaper? Please change it back. Even the menu on the wall shows the Mango Vinaigrette.

Dont let the Salad name distract you…they have the Best authentic Gyro on the Windward side, if not Oahu. The beef and lamb is unbelievable and the pita, sauce and veggies all so fresh. A+, 5 stars

A great find! Got some Caesar salads there, they had Parmesan cheese shavings, not the usual cheap grated version! Portions are generous and the salads tasted fresh and great! Definitely recommend. Too bad it’s in a food court as the atmosphere isn’t the best. Deserves a fancier location. Oh, and price is reasonable.

The past 2 weeks service has been bad. We ordered online and the 1st time they gave my order away which I forgive, 2nd week I had to remind them of my order and waited 30min for a soup and grill cheese. Same staff working needs improvement.

Update: 3/15/25 come here again and no change. Your system needed to change for online orders. One day they leave it on the shelf the next week it is somewhere else, there is no advantage to ordering online. Your cashier doesn’t smile or apologize, just sad horrible service.
