Happy we found this great out of the way experience at Jo’s Bar & Grill. Great food, wonderful people, awesome fresh brewed ice tea and having the Food Channel playing was a bonus. We had the queso fiesta cheese dip with homemade chips, and the Parmesan garlic dry rub wings for appetizer, and we split the large club sandwich and homemade fries. We would highly recommend a little side trip to Jo’s off the I-10

Highly recommend a stop here for great diner eats and BBQ! Super cool dive vibe & home town feel. Love the wood floors and dollar bills stapled all over the walls and ceiling! Food isn’t fancy but it’s really good.

Excellent brisket plate! The brisket was not overly salt and peppered, the smoke was prevalent but not overpowering , which was perfect. The meat was tender and juicy and not greasy . The potato salad was also very good as well as the pinto beans. The staff was friendly and attentive, with good iced tea to go.

Stopped here last night on my way through town on a solo roadtrip and I LOVED it. Hospitality and service was perfect and personable (I had to ask for a phone charger because my phone was on 1% and I had 2 hours to go for the day). Food was amazing (I got the 2 meat plate with brisket, sausage, potato salad, fries, beer, and water). Atmosphere was exactly what I was looking for after a long day of driving and swimming at Balmorhea State Park (Cowboys game, beer, and pool). When I come back, I will absolutely visit again!

Hole in the wall, and we were the only ones there. Brisket sandwich was great & Brisket cheese fries were good too. I just don’t like the way they cook the fries (fresh style, I prefer the more procesed mass produced style).

If you’re looking for good, down-home cooking, Jo’s Bar & Grill is the place to go. No frozen patties thrown in the grease here. Fries were hand-cut and ranch dressing is homemade. Seriously coming back!
