First time to try La Frontera. The building looks good since they converted it from Dinellis. We decided to get the buffet. $16.50 per person. Wasn’t really impressed. We arrived right at 11am thinking everything on the buffet would be fresh. Seems like it had been sitting there a while. We will return and order from the menu, but overall wasn’t impressed with the buffet.

The food for everyone in my party was different some said it was so so ,I think the Chorizo was ruined it tasted awful and the waitress didn’t even know the food was. Every one got their food one at a time about 7 to 10 minutes apart. And looked overwhelmed I felt bad for her.

Our first time there for lunch. Only 4 tables eating when we came in. We ordered shrimp taco salad & fried tilapia with beans. 45 minutes later. My taco salad taco shell w/3 shrimp and shredded cheese soggy and cold, No lettuce tomato or sour cream. His (fried) tilapia looked like it had been threw on the grill for 2 minutes in pieces raw on the plate and no beans. We left after 45 minutes of waiting for this and did not eat. We will never be back again! 1 amazing waitress doing everything with all tables full the best she could. The other waitress just stood in the front waiting by the register to ring up tickets after eating. The kitchen staff could not speak English and was yelling at the only good waitress there! We felt sorry for her.

I’m giving one star on the food reason being I ordered the chimichanga and it was good until the last couple bites of chicken. I had to stop eating because the chicken was ruint. I don’t know how this is to be explained unless they had bad pieces mixed with fresh pieces but that was terrible. This was my first and last time going. The waiter was nice and prompt on refills and the atmosphere was good. But the chicken, someone needs to check it out because that wasn’t right

If there is one thing we have in Hamilton, it’s bad Mex food and this is no different.
I feel bad leaving this because the server was really nice….
But service was slow, food was awful. literally after only 3 bites of fajitas I gave up, paid and left— steak was like a rubber tire. The refried beans were the only part that I really enjoyed. Guac was so picante it was not edible. Like wasabi. Feel like I paid $30 for food and drink and consumed only $28.
Just don’t go.
Sorry to the owner trying to make money, but they need to do some other way. This isn’t it.

The buffet was NOT much. I’ve never seen a Mexican buffet that did NOT have burritos, enchiladas, and tacos, or just the taco hamburger meat. I was there about 11:40 and the food on the so called buffet was COLD! The so called wings tasted like left overs and the beef fajitas were spicy HOT. Beans and cheese sauce was good though. The salad bar would have been good had they had some salad dressing other than salsa.The price is $16.50 which includes a drink and tax. My server was great but didn’t understand much English.

Two bean burritos with cheese and hot sauce.
Received :
two beef tostadas with sour cream (daughter couldn’t eat)
No side of chicken
Two bean and cheese enchiladas
Did not get $26-+ worth of food.
Flavor was fantastic though.
