I have been waiting for 3 years to eat a Texas Twinkle and it was worth waiting in line for 45 minutes… Thanks for the military discount… The free banana pudding, the free peach cobbler, and free ice cream when you dine in… and whoever made that banana pudding did an excellent job your ancestors are proud of you.

Slow slow and more slow!!!
I sampled the brisket no flavor at all. Def stick to terry blacks. I’ll stick to hurtados and lockharts. Waited 50 minutes, 20 in the wrong line, 30 for them to give me my order. I wish I could have tried the turkey or burnt ends too. At hurtados I could have gotten a sampler of all the meats and 2 side for 52 dollars. I spent 66 here, and only got this small portion of brisket and 2 sides and 2 Texas twinkies. I know good bbq is expensive but damn. For all this money there should be some kind of deep flavor. There was zero. It tastes like boiled meat. I wanted to like this place. I got there before it opened at 11. Walked out with my food at 11:50a. I was probably number 25 in line from my estimate of counting ppl. I won’t waste anymore money here I dont think. Since im in arlington I might swing by hurtados for some real bbq. Yall can have this place

The mac and cheese changed my life. I fully expected this place to be overhyped like every other bbq joint in DFW, but I can rarely find a place that makes non-dry turkey. Despite how great the food was, my real reason for writing a review is to give Adrian some well-deserved praise!!!! He was awesome checking in on me and my friend as we were dining in. He truly made our experience memorable. I’ve never been given such great customer service at this style of restaurant by the entire staff!

Great sides. It’s gotten to the point that the meats being offered from BBQ places that offer prime cuts are all pretty good. Brisket was good, smoked turkey breast was moist and well prepared. The differentiator for me are the sides. The Mac n Cheese was creamy, tasty and nicely flavored. The fried okra was some of the best I’ve ever eaten. Kept on popping them into my mouth, crispy, fresh and nicely seasoned coating. The potato salad was excellent. Looking forward to returning to try the other sides.
