When I brag to people about North Dakota (trust me it’s not very often,) I HAVE to mention the hamar bar, whether I’m cruising in on a snowmobile for a drink, or coming in for a karaoke night (the dj, he makes it so lively and fun) I always have a warm welcome when I walk in! Classic local Casey Christofferson makes sure EVERYONE has a laugh and a drink in their hand! Joel the owner is absolutely so inviting and friendly and laughs at my jokes and started to make me believe i’m a funny person. Went there so much I started to think they were my own family! Also they always believe it’s my birthday anytime and any month I come in and say it is-always will laugh my heart out when I go in. Anyways, when I say I miss north dakota, it’s really just the bar and people there.
