Love the vibe of this place! We saw it as we were driving by and it literally made us turn around and go in. Will definitely be back!

The bartenders do everything they can to avoid serving you. They wipe stuff, move stuff, act busy while customers wait over 5 minutes to be acknowledged and this is on not so busy nights. There is an older man who appears to be the owner but he is a party pooper, unfriendly and brings down the vibe. I find this place to be un-inviting and like they resent having to do anything for their customers.

Great atmosphere and food. Enjoyed the patio seating facing the waterfront. Shrimp poboy is great with well seasoned shrimp. The hollondaise gave it a nice kick when added.

Be very careful about your drinks at Dons. Myself and some family members were playing pool, right next to our attended drinks, and I see some old unkempt man picking up our drinks. Except the way he looked it looked like someone was messing with them. I saw him and said what are you doing. He said he’s picking up these drinks. I said those are ours and they aren’t unattended and obviously aren’t finished/old and sitting at an empty table. He said, I’m the owner. I said you’d think the owner would be asking about said drinks before manhandling them suspiciously like he was trying to roofy them. He kept arguing like his actions were typical and never once apologized even though he was wrong and quite frankly acted like a jerk because we dared question his actions. We won’t be in there again. There’s too many bars with better “owners”.

Not really anything to write home about. Fire bites would be nice, but not happening. Server was nice. Chocolate martini didn’t even have a swirl or cherries. This was only my second time here, but my first time was awful cause I couldn’t get service.

Great local bar with an awesome atmosphere in an incredible sunset view. The owners have done a great job of restoring the place and getting it back open after multiple floods and storms. If you’re looking for a place to relax on the lakefront in Mandeville and enjoy a good drink this is the one you must check out.

No food and it’s a sports bar with pool tables. There is an indoor outdoor space went you open the garage door which is nice if ots not too hot. They have large TVs and the day I went they had live music in the bar area. It was a decent experience, but I’m not really into sports. I was there for a birthday party.

Had a great time, so nice and cool inside. I didn’t go to the patio, but they do have fans. Plenty of seating, and they did have a band setting up when we went.

The owner was behind the bar because the bartender called out for the day. The owner is definitely NOT a bartender, which she fully and willingly admits. She was, very friendly and we would go back for drinks again, even though they were a little pricey.

I feel the need to vouch for the 3 people who were involved in a violent fight that broke out Saturday night in the bar.
Me and my husband were sitting towards the middle of the bar when a fight broke out, my self and my husband witnessed a woman in a white dress “age 40, something Barrett who owns a beauty salon in Mandeville, walk over to a young lady in all black who was minding her business until 2 young girls who were clearly 18 or 19 years old being bought alcohol by older men, one girl last name of stock who my daughter went to high school with in a red dress and her friend in a blue dress. These two girls have been in here before and the young blond looking one, continuously bought drinks underage at this bar and no one seems to notice or simply care because they never seem to be ID’d while in the establishment
Later in the night Screaming of vulgar slurs started at the girl and a young gentleman minding there business who “””” is a regular who my husband and I have actually spoken to before who is a pleasant and very respectful young man. The Older woman who must have been a family friend of the 2 young girls approached the girl and guy at the end of the bar and grabbed her arm and tried to slap the girl while she was sitting down. Unprovoked, unprecedented. The young man grabbed the girl he was with and removed her from the bar to deescalate the situation.
The girl who was assaulted came back in the bar after 5 minutes or so and proceeded to walk to the bathroom and the 2 “underage girls and the woman who assaulted her” followed her to the bathroom where she was than attacked thrown on the ground and hit multiple times.
The boyfriend of the girl who was in the the bathroom “who was with the young gentleman and the girl who was assaulted”, walked out of the bathroom to see his girlfriend being beaten and dragged across the floor by 7-8 different woman at this point. As any man should and would do for there beloved, he pushed the woman off of her and than the boyfriend of the girl and friend of the guy, was attacked by multiple guys and a Mexican in a red shirt who struck him in the face. At this point me and my husband are witnessing everything and the girl the boyfriend and the guy all sitting at the end of the bar previously were surround by 30 individuals twice there age by the pool table area.
At this point the young man who me and my husband speek to quite often who is great friends with the bartender “Noah” I believe was surrounded because he was defending his friends girlfriend who was assaulted and his friend who was now being jumped for defending his girlfriend started to defend them selfs with the massive crowd who had them pinned in a corner. That’s when all hell broke loose and 30-40 people jumped these 3 individuals.
The 3 people who were defending them selfs indefinitely had to fight there way out of the bar and made it to there car where we watched a woman in a blue dress maybe 40 or so the 2 underage girls and multiple other adults rush towards there car 100 yards from the bar and proceeded to smash beer bottles against cars even striking the girls face, Iknow bc I drive the white suv that was parked right next to there car. Not intervening my husband and I watched the girls drag the girl in all black out of her car and on to the ground and the boyfriend of the girl who was trying to leave with her was being jumped by 2 woman and the same Mexican in a red shirt on the lakefront. The police came and an investigation was done where no one was deemed guilty and no charges were pressed. But I over heard the officer talking to a gentlemen who was an off duty cop for MANDEVILLE POLICE saying
“tell them that the cameras don’t work” out side or inside the bar. From what we saw, he knew him and his family would have been in deep shit for following them out the bar. The off duty cop who we recognized as someone who comes in here often now looked too familiar bc he was the one buying these 2 underage girls there drinks.
