I have been coming here for years. They have the best food around. We went yesterday and the air conditioner was still broken as it was last year when we went. It had to be 90 degrees in there. I spent almost $100 and it was so hot in the restaurant we could not enjoy our meal. We took the food home. For what people spend to eat here the air conditioning should have been fixed by now. Sadly we will not be returning.

This is the REAL DEAL!! These are super authentic tacos and Mexican soups. And super delicious. The service is excellent, I love that it is a small place run by a local family. So far everything I’ve had was incredibly fresh and tasty. The last time I had anything that approached the flavor profiles they achieve was in Mexico.I highly recommend you give Don Taco a try. Oh, did I mention it’s a fantastic value? You can eat like a king for under $10.

I have been meaning to try this place for quite a while… sorry I waited so long to actually get here. I ordered the Birria taco combo with the broth dip. OMG… such an incredible explosion of flavor! First time eating at the establishment. Tried to order guacamole but it wasn’t ready. I ordered sweet tea with lemon, when I made it home it was unsweetened with limes. The salsa didn’t have flavor and was extremely thin and runny . Very disappointing.

Okay, so I’m originally from Houston, Tx. I grew up eating authentic Mexican food. (Yes there’s Tex mex in Texas but you got your authentic places too) I literally have been so heart broken living in Louisiana for the past 9 years and I have yet to find someone that does amazing Mexican street food!! I literally would get off the bus, walk down the street to my taco truck guys and grab a couple tacos before heading home after school when I was in highschool. The first bite brought me comfort, the nostalgia, and everything about it was amazing. Will definitely continue to do business with them. This has warmed my heart, and the salsa verde they put on the side was 10/10. It cleared my sinuses right up which I needed. lol

Ate here for lunch on a Saturday. We had the Don Taco (steak), shrimp, and lengua (beef tongue) tacos along with a Mexican pizza. All were delicious!. The shrimp tacos were the clear winner with the lengua a close second. The Mexican pizza had a pupusa base covered with smashed black beans and topped with chicken(or whatever meat you choose), Cilantro and onions. The homemade green and red sauces were also tasty. We’ll be back!
