The Slough House Kitchen is an absolute gem!!
The atmosphere is beautiful, calm, and welcoming, perfectly matched with its great location. The food is outstanding and you can truly taste the care put into every dish. Everything is made from scratch using organic, garden-fresh vegetables and high-quality ingredients, which makes such a difference. Top italian/pizza place in Sacramento, only 14 min from Rancho Cordova.
The chef is incredibly professional and brings authentic Italian roots into the kitchen in the best way. On top of that, the owners are genuinely kind and super friendly, making you feel at home the moment you walk in.
Amazing food, amazing people, and one of the best atmospheres around, we tried their soup of the day had veggies and meatballs, they brought us complimentary whole wheat organic sourdough made in house with some tummy sauce, see pictures for more. Highly recommend!!

My family and I had a lovely time at The Slough house restaurant. The service and food was amazing. Our server Daisha was very sweet and attentive. This was all of our first time eating here and we will definitely be back. The bread was fresh and delicious. The atmosphere was as cozy and charming. Also, the crème brûlée was delicious! I wish I had a better photo but we inhaled everything lol

No notes. This place is a total gem. Food is next level fantastic but affordably priced. Get the squash soup & bruschetta thingy and thank me later

A delightful place to stop and enjoy a early afternoon lunch on the patio. The Schnitzel was perfectly cooked and seasoned as was the chicken parmigiana! We will definitely sto at the Slough House Kitchen when we are passing through!

An OK dinner at Sloughhouse. The meals were good but nothing very special. The restaurant was understaffed when we visited so service certainly what we read about in other reviews. Although the restaurant was nice looking it was very cool in the dining room and most customers kept their jackets and sweaters on. Overall they have some issues to work out.

I love this place! The atmosphere is something special, feels like an old-school restaurant where everything is just right. The tables are set perfectly, the wine shelves in the background add a nice touch, and the music is on point.
The onion soup was incredible, easily one of the best I’ve had. Rich, flavorful, and just what I was craving. On top of that, the service was great—super friendly and attentive without being overbearing.
If you’re looking for a spot with great food, good vibes, and a classic feel, this is it. Can’t wait to come back!

We’ve been wanting to try The Sloughhouse Kitchen for awhile now. We stopped in for a late lunch today and we’re sorry we waited so long. The restaurant is in a historic building that was once a hotel and stagecoach stop. The inside is charming and spacious. There is a beautiful deck for outdoor dining. Our server was friendly and attentive. We ordered off the brunch/lunch menu and decided on the Italian sausage panini and the smoked salmon panini. The Italian sausage and smoked salmon are made in house. Both came with a green salad, breakfast potatoes, and an egg cooked to order. The pininis were both delicious, as were the potatoes. The salad was simple but fresh. My fried egg was cooked to perfection. What a delightful surprise that this gem of a restaurant is so near to Rancho Murieta! It’s definitely worth the trip from anywhere in the Sacramento area. We will definitely be back, can’t wait to try dinner with one of their signature cocktails.

We had an amazing first time experience here! The food was incredible, one of a kind – with some traditional menu options and better yet unique delicious spins on traditional menu items. The highlight is the locally sourced farm to fork fresh food. The bread is impressive! The restaurant itself is beautiful and a romantic setting. The staff are so warm and friendly. The chef spent a lot of time chatting with us about his dishes and the restaurant, it was an amazing experience from start to end. We live over 30 minutes away from the restaurant but we will return as this is our new favorite dining in Sacramento.

I having been driving by this place for years wondering if it was even open. I figured I would stop in and check it out. Yeah, they are open and wow what a hidden gem. I just had a snack, smoked salmon and it was awesome smoked in house served with perfectly toasted homemade bread. They also had steak tartare and oysters, so well represented on the appetizers. I looked at the menu and it was equally impressive. Extensive pastas,Ribeye, but I really have my eye on that duck confit for my next visit. I will put this up against any hipster midtown place anytime. Don’t let the empty looking parking lot fool you. The Slough House Kitchen is open for business and you will not be disappointed.
