Grabbed lunch on a Thursday a little after noon, it was quiet with plenty of seating. My companion said it’s usually packed though.
The service was friendly.
The food was great. I got the sandwich that was the daily special, Turkey with Sun Dried tomatoes. They serve breakfast all day & my friend got the Chef’s Breakfast Bowl which looked amazing. She said it was incredible.
The ambiance is way cuter than you’d expect a little place in a strip mall to be.
I’ll definitely add this to my list of local rotations.

The match and chai was absolutely delectable! Highly recommend the drinks! The West Coast Toast was okay but the waffle was pretty great. Great atmosphere, kinda pricy.

Best latte in town. Everything on the menu is delicious (the breakfast crunch wraps are particularly good). The staff is so friendly. A true hidden gem.

Quite possibly the best breakfast restaurant in the country. I had the southern crunch wrap and my wife had the smoked salmon avocado toast. Both were expertly seasoned and cooked to perfection. This place has souhlthern cooking down! The beef tallow fries and garlic aoli are also amazing so be sure to try them!

I like the new vibes Meeting Ground has, it’s feeling super homey and down to earth. The new owners are putting their spin on the classic menu items and adding their own to fit their style. All their bread is baked in house. You have to try their cinnamon rolls! And they use Lanoca beans for their coffee and espresso. By the way, they pull the best espresso in town! And thankfully they’re open on Sundays now.

We decided to try this place for lunch as it has a 4.9 review but unfortunately I don’t think our service experience reflected the good reputation of this place.
We entered at 11:45 am and it was pretty full considering it is a small space. No one greeted us so I went to the cashier to ask if we could get a table and said it would be about a 10 minute wait for a table. We proceeded to place our order at 12 pm with the cashier.
There is no list of who gets the tables. We were told we were next for a table and a couple who walked in 25 minutes after us that was sitting at the bar area saw a table open up and quickly sat down at the table, it that was supposed to be ours so we had to wait more time and they did not ask them to get up. They just simply looked at them and shrugged and proceeded to take their orders ( I didn’t understand this because there was also a family of 3 and another family of 4 after us waiting for a table and they had also ordered like us).
So they offered us the option to be at the bar but it only had two seats and we were a group of 3 and they said they didn’t have another seat which I totally understood due to the busy time. So we decided to wait for a table, we waited a total of 45 minutes for one since 11:45 am. We got seated at 12:35 pm.

And we were still waiting for our food once we sat down… I asked for my cinnamon roll because since it’s something small I figured they would’ve brought it out before the food just like the coffee or drinks, but the employee seemed a bit disturbed that I asked and told me they go in order and the orders were really backed up so it wasn’t possible. I asked if they made it from scratch and that’s why it was going to come out with the rest of the food bc I genuinely didn’t know since it was my first time. She said no we just warm it up.
I asked the owner about it about 10 minutes after since I figured it wouldn’t take long for them to warm it up since the resturant was starting to slow down and the waiters were just talking and standing by the coffee making machines. She told me she would check.
Right after me asking, the food came out it was 12:43 pm. And when the food came we didn’t recieve utensils and still didn’t get the cinnamon roll. So I had to ask for utensils and my cinnamon roll when I saw a worker walk by.
The worker gave us a slight attitude about it.
We also were the only customers that didn’t get complementary water cups like everyone else did when they got their table. So my sister got up to ask for some at the cashier.
I don’t know something seemed off about their service. I wish the service was a bit better considering that this place has a 4.9 review and that the waiters/servers would’ve been honest about the wait time and more attentive to actually providing us the basic restaurant service which includes utensils and the water since their prices are on the higher side, also that there would be some order about the tables, it just seemed a bit unorganized. Overall the lunch food was pretty good.
And about two months ago I had gotten take out for breakfast and I had the same service… no one greeted me nor asked me what they could help in or if I was going to need a table and my take out food didn’t have utensils either.

I was new to the area and my boyfriend was in visiting for the weekend…we came here for breakfast 2 days in a row because the food was so good. You can taste the high quality ingredients. The owners are right there in the kitchen and front…we had a great conversation with the lady! We also love how they support local farmers, so it felt good knowing that each dollar and bite stretches further within the community. Highly recommend this spot for delicious healthy food that gives back!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I recently visited Meating Ground Cafe and was absolutely blown away! The dirty chai latte, was perfectly spiced and had a delightful creaminess. The highlight was definitely the grassfed cheeseburger on a homemade sourdough bun. It was incredibly juicy, fresh and flavorful, cooked to perfection, and paired wonderfully with french fries fried in tallow. Honestly, I can say it was the best burger and fries I have ever had!

If you’re in the area, you must stop in. I can’t recommend it enough! 10/10!

Tried their mocha, and it was just right—not too bitter or too sweet. The inside atmosphere is calm and relaxing, perfect for unwinding or reading a book. Music was at a comfortable level, allowing for easy conversation without being too quiet. Definitely a cozy spot I’d come back to again

Hands down this is one of the best little coffe shop/cafés I have ever been to. While on vacation I went no less than 4 times in a week period. Their food is the real deal, clean ingredients and affordable. Their coffee is also so good. The owners are so friendly and down to earth. If I lived in town, it would definitely be my “spot”.
