Nicely located at Casemates Square, Gianni’s stood out during my visit to Gibraltar. I tried fish and chips at several places, but Gianni’s was exceptional—especially the sauces. I also ordered a latte, which was beautifully presented in three layers and tasted great. The outdoor ambience was lovely, and the service was excellent. I can’t agree with some recent reviews claiming poor service; the staff were friendly, attentive, and quick. I visited when the restaurant was less than half full, so the experience may differ during busier times. Prices were reasonable for central Gibraltar, and I would definitely visit again.

I’m amazed with this restaurant. Fully gluten free starters, mains and desserts available. They have gluten free pasta, pizza AND gluten free bread. The pizza was absolutely delicious and I will be returning!! Finding good gluten free restaurants is a struggle so extra happy to find this restaurant.

Nice restaurant with a large terrace. The staff were extremely friendly and the food was very tasty. I had the Gambas Pil Pil as a starter, although for me they were more like Gambas Al Ajillo. They were delicious anyway and I mopped up most of the oil! I followed it with a pizza; a seafood pizza – more prawns, I know, but they were so good. I shall definitely be going back again when I am next in Gibraltar.

Nicely situated at the Casemates Square. I can’t confirm the recent reviews which say the service is poor. The waiters were friendly and attentive and the service was quick. (I’ve been there at a time when less than half of the tables were taken, so it might be different when the place is busy.)
Had the fish and chips. Chips were okay, but the fish and the tartar sauce were quite good. Prices seemed reasonable for downtown Gibraltar. Would come again.

Stepping into Gianni’s in Gibraltar immediately feels like walking into an authentic corner of Italy. I had an absolutely fantastic time and can confidently say this restaurant offers exceptional value.
The quality of the food at Gianni’s is not just outstanding, it’s exceptional. The taste was absolutely incredible—each bite was fresh, flavourful, and perfectly prepared. The portions were generous, but honestly, the quality was so fantastic that I genuinely could have eaten the dish ten times over! Given the exceptional quality and satisfying portions, the price was equally great, making it a truly unbeatable value.
Beyond the incredible kitchen, the service at Gianni’s was truly memorable. I had a slight moment of self-humiliation trying to pronounce my order, the Linguine Marinara. Thankfully, my waiter, Maria, rescued me from further embarrassment when she broke the name down into syllables, rescuing me with a smile and true professionalism.
If you are looking for high-quality Italian food, a genuine atmosphere, and service that goes the extra mile, Gianni’s is a must-try. It is most highly recommended!

Very disappointed – we waited 20 minutes to be acknowledged. We ordered drinks and food, eventually…
A wrong order was brought to our table…
We waited 45minutes for two salads and some chips.
The chicken was so dry on my caesar salad and it was drowned in sauce!!
My husbands salad had components missing from his!!
Lots of other customers were also disappointed and left!
We heard the waiter say “it is busy” but that shouldn’t be an excuse for the mistakes and service today.
We are visiting family in Gibraltar and will not recommend they and others visit your establishment.

We appreciated that they had gluten free pizza – it was tasty! We were glad we asked if the focaccia and olives they brought to the table were included, because they were not. We kept the olives for a fee and sent back the bread

Great restaurant! The kids loved their pasta and lasagna, and I had the pil pil prawns — absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and had a great sense of humour. Lovely atmosphere — we’ll definitely come back!
