Ive been chasing the high of my favorite chinese restaurant as a kid for two decades now. Would always try new places and get the same order but it was never quite the same. I ordered takeout from here last night after recently moving to the area and I knew after one bite it was almost exactly the same. Everything I ordered was great but to have the same flavors Ive been looking for again after such a long time was an amazing treat. My wife thought I was being silly until she tried it as well. Can’t wait to order again.

My GF suggested we order Asian Cafe. I haven’t had the best food from them in the past but little did I expect what happened this evening.
After driving home with our carry out order, my GF noticed that her Teriyaki Chicken with wok seared vegetables resembled (and tasted like) a lean cuisine chicken breast. The primary difference is this lean cuisine meal cost over $13.
My GF, is not prone to complaining about poorly prepared food, decided to call. The young man who answered the phone said that the description on the website (where my GF ordered online) “probably wasn’t accurate.” She requested a refund at which point he asked how much of the meal she had eaten. She stated “barely any…do they want me to drive my food back to get a refund?” As he started to make more excuses she interrupted him stating “nevermind…just tell the owners I won’t be back.”
I have attached a photo of this meal which does not in any way resemble asian cuisine and which clearly shows steamed vegetables. Asian Cafe shouldn’t be in business if they are going to prepare meals that do not match their descriptions online then argue about their customers when they call them on it. I have lived in Middletown 35 years and have never had a professional eatery treat me or my significant other this way.
I would not recommend going here. Go to China Garden in Frederick (great people and even greater good) or Thai Meric (another great establishment) also in Frederick. Go here if you want a poor meal and acerbic teenagers giving you grief for calling to report it.

Family owned restaurant with essentially just take out services since the pandemic. In dining experience recently added back in. The young man on the phone was very efficient and he also worked the cash register, but the rest of the staff were literally just on their phones and customers were in the restaurant .
I’ve been a customer there for many years and I feel like the quality of their food has been less than stellar over the past several years.

The last couple times when I ordered orange chicken it wasn’t spicy, but now two time the orange chicken was so spicy that it was unbearable. And today the lid wasn’t fully closed so when I opened it most of it was in our bag and a couple of the chicken had fallen.

I’ve only ordered delivery from this place and they’ve gotten my order right every time! The people that take your order and deliver your order have always been polite and attentive! The food is decent and is average Chinese food. I wouldn’t say it’s a 5 star place then aren’t too many Chinese restaurants I would give 5 stars! The food here is not consistent and sometimes is very good and other times the dishes don’t have enough sauce/gravy and are completely dry! The rolls at times are crisp and other times are completely filled with oil and soggy! All in all is a decent delivery food for the days no other Chinese place delivered to your area and if you don’t fill like picking up from your favorite Chinese restaurant!
