I’m not a food influencer lol but dang these are the best birria tacos I’ve ever had. So good, so juicy, so cheesy, so full of flavor I usually say I’d come back again, but I can assure you I’m definitely coming back! ♥️ Ali was very attentive and answered all questions. She had a lovely attitude and everything was delivered in a timely manner. Also, we beat the rush so that was niiiiiice!

Great dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and authentic. What made it even better was the excellent service. Adrian, our server, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. His attentiveness and friendly attitude truly made it a top-notch experience. Had dinner on a Saturday, I ordered beef birria tacos. Before the ordered arrived we had frijoles manalones with beef and cheess which are over rated. The beans lacked flavor. The tacos were also OK. The pick table we sat at had the bench seat caved in which made it uncomfortable. We were a group of six so relocating was not possible. We did ended up paying $250 as each had two drinks. Pretty expensive for not being a high end restaurant.

The tacos (Al Pastor) were pretty good. The portions were of good size and it had good taste with every bite. The cucumber lemonade was freshly made but was nothing special; may have been the last of the batch that was made. It was pretty busy but we were able to get seated inside pretty quickly. However, the service could have been better. The waitress was very friendly and helpful but she was all over the place so we didn’t see her for long periods. There is a reason they have a call button, so be sure to use it if you have been waiting for a good while. The atmosphere was pretty chill and it didn’t take long to get our food despite how busy it was. Parking was pretty limited since it was busy, so we had to park down the street. It’s a solid option if you are in the mood for tacos.

Ok, I am a Utah guy, but, this was amazing! Got the sampler taco plate. It had 5 different street tacos. Check out the menu for details! Highly recommend this little back yard taco extravaganza!
Drove an hour and 20 minutes from South Padre Island to eat here. Well worth the drive!

On Fridays and Saturdays they have live music starting at 7PM
Talking with our server, she stated that it gets very busy on the weekends, Mother’s Day, other main holidays, but they are quick service, so the lines don’t wait very long.
Charro beans were great. Many salsa options are available.
Looking at the menu, they seem to have at least 30 drink options (alcoholic) (we don’t drink, but saw some come out for others, looked very colorful)

Came here for our first time and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere was nice, the food and drinks were amazing, the staff was very friendly and welcoming. We will definitely be back. Those saying the food was lacking flavor and dry.. maybe it was an off day? Because ours was not dry and definitely not lacking flavor. Give them a try if you haven’t. The papita was on top of the best papa asada I’ve tried in the valley.

Tastiest tacos I’ve ever had!! I had the sampler plus and oh my goodness, every taco was a 10/10. The salsas paired perfectly with every taco. The pa la nalga asada papa was also extremely delicious. Best of all, our server Jackie was very attentive, she made sure we had everything we needed to enjoy our meal. Along with the food, the atmosphere is perfect for enjoying a great meal along with family and friends. I would recommend El Plebe to anyone who has not been here yet.

We have had our share of tacos from all over. That said, we weren’t too impressed with these. We had a papa asada and the taco sampler. If you’re coming because you want great tasting street tacos? Keep driving. If you’re coming for a nice evening with friends and a few adult beverages on the side, then this may be your place. They offer some seating indoors. Outside is where the fun is! They have plenty of picnic style benches on artificial turf. They have a small enclosed bar for your beer. A stage for live music. Overall, nice place.
