A stunning spot for an elevated meal with a very laid-back, coastal-chic vibe. The food was amazing all around, especially the shrimp tempura rolls and chicken gyoza, which were some of the best I’ve ever had. The fried rice was also top-notch, and even the regular non-sushi tempura shrimp was really good.
The experience was fantastic, but the calamari was just decent—it could’ve been better compared to how high the bar was set by the other dishes.
Service was amazing! Everyone was super helpful throughout the meal, making the whole visit feel special. Well done Bui Sushi!

We had lunch at Bui Sushi and really enjoyed it. There was a special lunch price, and everything was fresh and tasty. We didn’t like the eel roll, but they were very accommodating and quickly substituted it without any problem. The staff was very nice, and overall it was a great experience.

You just can’t go wrong in Malibu! Stopped in for lunch and sushi sounded amazing. I was greeted upon entry. Choose to sit inside the covered entrance. Staff were super nice. Server was even willing to take a photo with his staff for my review but sadly I wasn’t able to take that shot. Sushi is beautiful artwork. I ordered dumplings and felt like even the dumpling sauce was amazing. I tried the Full Moon. I highly recommend it. So good! Also, I tried the happy hour specials. I hope if you try this place, you will feel welcomed and enjoy your meal as I did. Thank you Bui Sushi!!

Great service and amazing food! We went for our anniversary and everything came out delicious! California roll was the best we’ve ever had! Sushi was cooked to perfection too! Would highly recommend them if you’re looking for affordable sushi (Happy Hour) in Malibu!

We came during happy hour and they had a big selection of food during that time and it was amazing! We are not big seafood eaters but it makes a difference with how fresh it was! The lobster and scallop bowl was some of the best food I’ve had in awhile, especially eating out! Our waitress was also very attentive and friendly. We don’t live close but will have to be back soon.

First of let me start by saying that’s my waiter Leah was amazing. She was super attentive and knew the menu very well. She was able to suggest everything from my drink to dessert.
Now on to the food. The hand rolls were delicious and the crispy rice with spicy tuna was of the hook. The mochi ice cream was mouth watering. I will definitely be returning and requesting my girl Leah. Thank you so much for a wonderful first experience.

Jason, our server had a very professional demeanor and made our experience a lot better.
I usually agree to sushi when my wife craves it as I am not a fan of cold food in my stomach. But this restaurant is the only Sushi place that serves hot fish!!!

This little place in Malibu is very cozy, friendly staff and , been going there on Sundays occasionally. Love their food. Jose, one of their waiters, did amazing suggestions to us. We loved our experience this time more than any other time before. 12/15/2024

I wanted to lick the bowl!! The sashimi salad is the best I’ve ever had. The service was incredibly fast, and all the wait staff was very friendly. Our waiter was especially attentive and happy to give us the best experience.
