I ordered the Tuesday Turkey wing special and it was pretty good. The collard greens were on point and the turkey had a good taste to it. The only thing I didn’t care too much for was the mustard based potato salad. Not liking mustard, it was hard for me to eat it. Other than, everything else was really good.

I love this spot, I’ve tried several different dishes and every time it exceeded my expectations. The service is good and expedient. The atmosphere is just a really chill spot I recommend the shrimp and grits, and the turkey omelet for breakfast. Dinner whatever they serving you will enjoy especially the Mac & Cheese

I can not believe the food I received from Dells. The food is normally ok but I guess they were having a bad day today. The pancake were not cooked good. I asked for no cheese in the eggs and a sausage patty but instead got bacon. I will not visit this establishment again.

The floor was super sticky. The guy at the counter was spitting everywhere. He was eating and not washing his hands. Didn’t speak up so I could hear better. Didn’t offer anything. I had the chicken sandwich and it was a 5 out of 5. I loved it. The chili for the fries was sweet so I did not like it. The pancakes had no flavor which is weird. The cooks were all very sweet and took pride in their food. Ill Def go back for the sandwich.

Stopped in while we were visiting a friend and glad we did. We ordered at least half the menu . Got 2 chili dogs with fries, 15 wings with fries, a hot plate of hamburger steaks with gravy scalloped potatoes and macaroni and cheese, and a patty melt. 2 homemade slices of cake one Carmel and one pecan pie. Everything we order was delicious. The only thing I would say wasn’t perfect was the chicken wings weren’t cooked hard enough but they were still good and I forgot to ask for them fried hard. The gentlemen they waited on us were friendly and knew the menu well. Since it was our first time in we had alot of questions. And all that food was less then 60$. Great place would definitely recommend to anyone.

I dont usually leave reviews but this is my 3rd time giving this place a try since they have been on University ave. Unfortunately, I dont have pictures or proof of my past experiences. I gave them another try today because breakfast was over everywhere else. I noticed very quickly that the service was the exact same from each time that I have entered. It seems unorganized and lacks professionalism as far as being a restaurant. Im not trying to downplay the place because my food was really good this time compared to my previous times, but the customer service is lacking. The guy seems to be himself but its not warm nor professional to me. I guess if you like it you do and if you dont you dont. If youre in a hurry, you may wanna order through doordash. Ask for a receipt as well because my total was 30.51 when the menu prices for what I got were $10, $10 and $4 ..EVEN. I just gave what he asked and got my food. This was not the first time for that either so now I know to go somewhere else. The taste of the food has to match the service, the wait, and the money spent for me. I dont have money for anybody else to play with in my face. Thanks for the good food this time, and there are other reviews with the same issues. I just hope this is taken as constructive criticism. There are nice people in the place, you just have to catch the food at the right time and check your prices.

Placed my order for 2 breakfast plates at 7:00am (opening) and did not receive it till 8:00am. Bacon egg and cheese biscuit dry, old tasting and my sandwich was falling completely apart. Cheese eggs were a big glob of burnt egg mush. French toast was not good at all just tasted like oil. PLUS 2 of my french toast were not even half pieces of bread. The Bacon was so underdone. Customer service was horrible. We work graveyard and ate what we could cause we were already tired. But NEVER AGAIN
UPDATED 3/20/25 – Well I tired to give this place another chance after seeing many many positive reviews. Maybe they were having a bad day on the day I placed my order. But they have me black listed. I cant speak for anybody else’s experience but my own. The pictures spoke for themselves and I remember very well how I was ignored that morning by the owner himself. This review is from 2 years ago. Crazy work.

The food was really good. I went early this morning when they first opened. The cheese grits & pancakes were really good. If you looking for good home cooking on the go & that family feeling, go eat at Dell’s Food. They were friendly and just themselves, I will take real over fake any day of the week.

The food is great don’t get me wrong. But I went in there today for my regular french toast breakfast with no drink. On the menu it’s say 12 for the breakfast. But when I went to pay I saw that it said $19.48? They didn’t make any sense. And multiple times that I’ve gone to the establishment they don’t tell me the total they just say” go ahead and tap for me”. They don’t even tell me the total. There was another time where I got a $5.00 breakfast sandwich and then they charged me bout $16. I love the food there but the service needs to be more consistent, efficient, as well as more professional.
