The flavor of food was good but for the amount you pay $24 how little you get not worth it. Plus my cornbread was burnt and hard in the middle which tells it was microwaved. I got the catfish wing combo said it came with 3 whole wings I only got 4 wingettes and small piece of catfish. I will say the mac and greens were absolutely amazing!!! the wings were good but nothing crazy special but my catfish was overcooked or the grease needs to be changed. Me personally in the future I will just come for the side items. I will also say the ladies at counter were really nice.

Food was excellent. The fried ribs we’re a little dry but the macaroni and cheese was the real star. The gravy was absolutely amazing and tastes like it was made with love. Fried Green tomatoes were great as well crunchy and slightly tart. Greens were a bit spicy for me but my family loved them. I’m looking forward to trying their giant turkey leg with Stephanie inside and that fabulous gravy on top. We have plenty of parking and they’re close to the highway the service was really quick and the food was hot and the ambiance is cool there’s often bands playing when you dine in. I would definitely go back here again and I’m lucky that it’s close to my home.

wanted to make sure i went locally owned for my birthday; ended up getting, i’m fully serious, some of the best food i’ve ever eaten in my entire life. the cornbread made me like cornbread for the first time. the mac and cheese is perfect. we got sweet chili wings and they’re perfect and juicy. the turkey leg is incredible. 100/10 will eat again.

Great Soul food. The only place I know that has fried ribs. They do NOT have fried corn on the cob however. It was a bit hard to hear the lady and for her to me through the window and the music playing. There is also very minimal seating. Only 2 small tables for 2 and 1 table for 4.

They have great food, but I am highly disappointed in the turkey leg I ordered for $30. I got the turkey leg with all the fixings (dressing, yams, mac and cheese, and greens). I was excited, I just knew it was gonna be good because I waited 30 minutes at the bar and had drink. When I got home to eat, low and behold I didn’t even get a turkey leg, I got a nasty looking back piece of turkey leg that barley had any meat and had skimpy portions of the sides that came on it. It Definitely was not worth the money. My best friend ordered a drink and food as well (catfish dinner, kids chicken, and a chicken dinner). He spent over $60 on his takeout to receive barely any sides for the dinners . The sides for both meals were the portion of the kids meal. It was unbelievable because we had never experienced that eating here before. For the amount for money we paid, plus tip, they were very skimpy with the portions and the food all together wasn’t good this time around. I will be giving y’all a break. If you order takeout, don’t make the mistake I did, make sure to check your food before you leave!

A hidden gem for sure…We googled places to go and this place popped up. We got seated right away and the food came out quickly. The food was hot and fresh!
My husband got the Mississippi Turkey leg combo with Mac and Cheese/Rice….I got the Fried Turkey Chops with fries and cabbage

First of all, let’s discuss how lovely the young lady was at the counter. She was so nice over the phone and in person and didn’t mind me asking questions. So respectful!
Now this food, Hunnnnny, I ordered 2 fried ribs dinners and they did not disappoint! The dressing and yams were sooo good! And who made the gravy? Who made it??? The cabbage was perfect! Not soggy, seasoned very well, and peppers & onions all up in that thing! And these fried ribs, whose idea! I got plain and bbq, and friend, when I tell you go hide from everybody when you open these. I saw the ray of sunshine come out the box!
I’m so happy about my dinner. And my sides were big, so I got leftovers!!! Best $25 you’ll spend on some food! (I think they got somebody granny locked up in the back, Cuz)

Ordered gumbo a hour ahead at a specific time I waited over 15 minutes past time and it was cold not fresh at all as long as I waited I shouldn’t have waited to get home to warm it up in the microwave just to see how salty it was. UPDATE I ORDERED IT 3:48 pm, (((I SELECTED THE PICKUP TIME TO BE 5:05 PM) pulled up at 5pm sharp.)))I didn’t leave until 5:20pm then I took a bite in the car it was ice cold

I had the most excellent experience with the staff here! The lady behind the counter was so incredibly kind. She gave me great recommendations and a quick run down of the menu that had me so hungry! The whole experience was wonderful, and the food was somehow even better! A must try in Flint!
