One negative for me was that they do not deliver.
Chicken broccoli pieces were of varying sizes.. some were thin some were thick… I prefer mine to be all relatively the same size… these were not… the broccoli was good – the chicken good. the sauce had a nice taste to it … the white rice the meal came with was alright… as far as white rice goes… wish they would have put more than 1 singular soy sauce packet in the whole bag…. I question how fresh the rice is, because all around the outside of the container it came in was dried rice stuck to it… All-in-all a decent meal. Not the best Chinese I’ve had, but also not bad… 7/10

Had sha-cha beef and it was delicious! Sauce was wonderful….. lots of tender beef strips and veggies were delicious! First time I had this and I will have it again for sure.

I recently ordered over $60 worth of food from Young Chow Cafe, expecting a great meal that included shrimp fried rice. However, as soon as I opened the food, I noticed something was very wrong there was absolutely no shrimp in the so-called “shrimp fried rice.” I called the restaurant immediately to resolve the issue.
At first, a non-English speaking lady answered the phone and remained silent, offering no help. Then, a man took over the call and, shockingly, his response was “What do you want me to do?” It was dismissive and frustrating. Instead of correcting their mistake, they acted as if it wasn’t their problem.
This kind of service is completely unacceptable, and it feels like the restaurant is stealing from its customers. If you’re thinking about ordering from here, BEWARE! This experience left a very bad taste in my mouth – both figuratively and literally.
Save yourself the hassle and take your business elsewhere.

I really wanted to like this place. I ordered Crab Rangoon, Beef on a Stick, Fried Wontons, Chicken Pad Thai, and Combination Fried Rice and unfortunately I didn’t enjoy any of it. I tried to make it work and eat what I could but the fried wontons were so hard and empty (see photos below), the Rangoon was okay. And I have to say after working in a Thai restaurant myself for 2 years, this was NOT pad Thai at all. Pad Thai is supposed to have a sweet taste and this was very plain. $59 dollars down the drain, I hope the lady enjoys her $5 tip because I didn’t enjoy any of the food 🙁

Surprisingly good for a little Chinese-Thai restaurant in a strip mall. We had stopped at Haymarket, VA to charge up my car’s battery, and we decided to have dinner. Google Maps suggested the Young Chow Cafe. It had good reviews, and the reviews were well deserved.
The space was clean and neat. The decor was basic but pleasant. The menu gave plenty of choices.
I had my usual Chinese meal, house chow mein. It was delicious. My wife and daughter both enjoyed their meals.
If you’re in Haymarket, VA around mealtime and if you like Chinese or Thai cuisine, Young Chow Cafe is fine. I recommend it.

Carry-out of Szechuan beef and kung pao chicken were very good and plentiful last week. This weekend we purchased 2 orders of shrimp pad thai and soup ($38) and it was so disappointing. It is all noodles, 4 shrimp, a teaspoon of peanuts, no scallions, no bean sprouts, nothing. Just a big bowl of noodles and what tastes like the same sauce that goes in drunken noodles. For the money, it was disappointing. We had hoped we found our Asian food carry-out place.

Young Chow Cafe is the best Chinese and Thai restaurant in the area by a landslide. I have never had anything bad here. Red curry is great, fried rice is fantastic and the general Tso chicken is super good. Everytime I’m in town I’m always trying to stop by and grab a bite!

I had the Hunan Beef Lunch portion. It had a good amount of spice and the flavor was excellent. It was way beyond expectations. All three of my friend’s said the same thing about their mesls as well. The service was spot on and the restaurant is very nice inside.

We had a Young Chow Cafe in our area, but the owner retired so we drive about 15 or so minutes to this location. Food is always hot, lady that works the desk and phone is always so nice. It’s worth the drive. Spring rolls are the best. Dumplings are my second favorite behind the spring rolls. This is the combination Singapore noodles no curry add chow mean sauce and the fried dumplings.
