We went to Mesa and absolutely loved it! It’s more of a lounge-style spot, and we came for their Wednesday jazz night — such a vibe. They check IDs at the entrance, so don’t forget to bring yours.
They welcomed us with a complimentary glass of sparkling rosé, which was such a nice touch. It wasn’t crowded, which made it quiet enough to have a conversation — we really appreciated that. We got seated right next to the live musicians, and the jazz was smooth and soulful.
We were there celebrating my birthday, and they surprised me with a cake and sparkles — so sweet! The band even played “Happy Birthday,” which made the night extra special.
As for the food, we tried their pizza (super authentic), sashimi, salmon, and the steak — the steak was incredible. Overall, great food, great drinks, and a cozy, elevated atmosphere. We’d definitely go back!

Came by to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Honestly, this place used to be hip but those days are long gone. The music and the crowd feel a little too District these days, IYKYK.
Drinks are still solid though of course credit is given where it’s due. The staff? Kinda acting like they’re guarding national secrets. Can’t sit here, can’t stand there…mind you, the place was practically empty while they were bossing people around. Like, relax. It’s Costa Mesa, not some exclusive Vegas lounge.

Atmosphere was amazing, service was extremely nice, and food was surprisingly great. We came on Wednesday where they have a fixed menu for $38 each, and options are still incredible, cocktails were great, will definitely return.
The parking was bad even for a Wednesday, the valet is actually nice to use.

I came on Friday night (Jan 30). The staffs here are extremely hostile and aggressive. One of the security guards dared to lay his hands on me to block me from literally walking to the outdoor areas because he thought I was trying to enter a restricted area. Didn’t even apologize afterwards or ask a question before touching someone.
The worst came at the bar area. I am an East Asian; one of the bartenders (middle-aged guy with a few beards who got a lot of tattoos and piercings) discriminated and shamed me for no reason. I was standing at the bar with a lot of others (majority white). This bartender answered and served literally everyone EXCEPT myself even though I said “excuse me” 5-6x and gave all my eye contact. I had been standing right in front of him for 10-15 minutes.
I knew I was being discriminated and got triggered so I finally used a hand gesture instead, and he finally used this opportunity to harass me with “dont do that!”, then proceeded to ask the person literally next to me (a white person) who came way later than I did to ask what drinks he wanted, handed his order, and took his payment while purposely ignoring and dismissing me. I ended up having to call another bartender who was a bit far from where I stood and she put a really dismissive face while serving my order.
I have had bad bartender services before but this was the first time I got completely discriminated and targeted. I am not sure why this place even keeps such a bad person who harasses and discriminates select ethnicities.

I rarely ever leave a 1-star review for any establishment, but Mesa / Mesa Lounge deserves one. I believe ownership/management has changed since I last visited it here. I used to come here all the time, a few years back, and never had anything but a positive experience. This used to be an up-scale bar / club in Orange County where you could celebrate any kind of night. However, it has now changed into a low-end / low-class establishment. Long story short, we were celebrating my friend’s birthday at our table / bottle service where I got kicked out of the place because I talked back to this guy who made a comment to me. Right away he pointed to 2 male bouncers who quickly just kicked me out, for no legitimate reason. I tried to cordially speak some sense into the bouncers, but it was obvious they were good friends with the guy who originally made the comment to me. I asked to speak to the manager there since we had a full table with bottle service for my friend’s birthday, but they didn’t have anyone so the bouncer told me that he was the manager. He was so hot-headed with his bouncer ego that you couldn’t even have a normal conversation with him to come to a resolution. For some reason he was also video recording me with his Ray-Ban Meta glasses. I Called the next day for the actual manager, Sonny, to discuss the matter, but he never reached out. Just so you all know we spent around $1,000 for the night at this place. What a joke. Highly recommend taking your business to an affluent ran hospitality business.

Great ambiance, good for couples and friends. This is nice date night spot for sure, after 10pm this place transforms to night club. Great crowd and valet parking is available.
I recommend getting a reservation before heading there, parking is difficult as the spots get filled very fast. This place is 5star for the vibe, you won’t get disappointed. Drinks and food is not cheap and they do offer bottle service and cabana reservations. This place is also good if you are celebrating something like anniversary or birthday.

Amazing Vibe! Love the Decor! Comp Glass of Champagne as you enter daily! Eclectic Food Menu (very limited options, yet unique). Went one time to an event held at this venue. Didn’t stay for the DJ and dancing—but seems like it is pretty great. Def worth at least a one time visit. Saw several couples dining—so looks like a great Date Night place—hint hint ❤️

This place is extremely expensive, it has several crazy rules, they force you to close the account and open a new one every time, they say that there is no table available judging the appearance and color; that is, when they think they are poor people they say that there is no table available, they say they can only stay at the bar. After some time at the bar they ask you to stand up and remove the seats. Extremely ambitious, minimum tips 22% mandatory. Don’t go to this place, terrible service, exploitative, prejudiced. Notorious that you see black people at the bar and white people at the table, all black people are induced to stay at the bar, because they say that all the tables are booked, when you look at the website the tables are available.

Chef Abad gave us an experience we won’t forget. Every bite was amazing and unique. Each plate was well thought out and perfect portions. My favorite item on the menu was the scallop and aged beef! They melt in your mouth.
