You know a place is gonna be good when you step out of your vehicle and you’re welcomed by delicious smells. No disappointment here! 9 adults, 3 kids, and not a single displeasing dish! The Steak Pad Thai and Sesame Chicken were both excellent. Traded a few sesame chicken for the sweet & sour chicken which were also great. Will be back!

Checked this place out because the menu looked like it could have some vegan options. Staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and detailed while describing what was vegan and what was not. Out of the plethora of options, the vegans and carnivores in our group found many tasty things to try. Great food, service, and tap beer list. Don’t be afraid to try the chili paste its delicious!

We were in the area and decided to stop for a late lunch/ early dinner. We are so glad we did! We were pleasantly surprised to see authentic Vietnamese dishes on the menu! We ordered the egg rolls, cream cheese wonton appetizers. We also ordered the lo mein with steak and beef with onions and crispy potatoes. Everything was phenomenal! The food was very fresh and hot. The owner/ chef even came out and talked with us. We even ordered more egg rolls to go. This restaurant is a wonderful gem in Emily right on highway 6. We will definitely be back!

You’ve got to be kidding me!! I ordered an old fashion and chose “bullet” for the bourbon. Got the bill and it was $20.00 for the drink. $8.95 for a old fashion and $11.00 up charge for “bullet” bourbon. Went down the street to the lLog Cabin and ordered the EXACT same drink, got charged $10.00. So the moral of the story is don’t order a cocktail with your meal because you’ll get gouged! Order a glass of water than go to the Log Cabin for some cocktails!!

Clean and spacious place with very good food and friendly service. The place has a weird ambiance considering the menu options, but I guess it’s to expect in this area.
My friend and I shared an order of the eggrolls and liked them. They were a bit too crunchy for me, but overall tasty.
I had the steak and potatoes and it was very flavorful. The meat was tender and the onions and gravy gave it a rich taste. The potatoes were not as crunchy as advertised but they worked well with the dish. Portion size was a bit small for the price.
My friend had the sesame chicken with the fried rice. He really liked it and the chicken pieces were big and juicy. The quality of the food definitely exceeds your run of the mill Asian restaurant, but paying $62 after tip for a “Chinese Food” dinner in the Minnesota Hinterland was a bit steep.

The Banh Mi sandwich and Sesame Chicken were very good. The Green Beans Fries were delicious. I think they should serve the teriyaki dipping sauce at room temp, or slightly warmed. Beautiful place. Dylan was very friendly and helpful.

Wow!!! This place is a hidden gem in the Northwoods of Minnesota. We visit Emily, MN. each year and had never eaten eaten here. Some friends that live in the area offered to take us out there for dinner. Let me tell you the food total blew our minds! We were expecting your typical Northwoods bar and Grill type food options, the Red Pine Cook house is far from typical. The menu is mainly a Vietnamese dishes with some traditional American dish options. I had the Chicken Bechamel and oh my goodness, it was one of the best and most flavorful dishes I have had. It was not spicy or over powering. Just an amazing combination of flavors. I highly recommend it. My spouse had the Pad Thai with Chicken. She said it was amazing as well. Our son-in-law has Sesame Chicken and I sampled it. It was excellent as well. Everyone in our party of 14 had excellent food and above average service. The facility and restrooms were super clean and inviting. The staff was over the top and friendly. It you are in the area you must give this place a try. They have outdoor patio seating and are dog friendly if you four legged friend(s) are traveling with you.¹

This was the best Pad Thai and Lo Mein my husband and I have honestly ever had! They definitely outdid every aspect of this place, I was shocked at how this “small town bar vibe” place had such amazing Asian style food! We came back two nights in a row while in town because it was THAT good! Very accommodating to gluten allergies as well

Spent the weekend in Emily with some girlfriends & we had the best time @ Red Pine Cookhouse on Saturday night! The place was bustling when we arrived around 7:00 but we didn’t have to wait for a table! Our server Brandon was friendly & helpful with recommendations off the menu! Paul & Patience were also very lovely and welcoming!
The food is exceptional, and it’s nice to have an option for somewhere to go that isn’t just serving burgers or pizza! The egg rolls are the best I’ve ever had, and everything else we ordered was wonderful as well!
If you’re in the area, you should definitely give this place a visit!!!
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This place was a real suprise- it’s a middle of nowhere, asian cuisine, sports bar and it’s flourishing. The sesame chicken had PLENTY of glaze and the sandwich was very crisp and refreshing. A bit of a wait to get in- maybe reserve ahead. Would definitely eat here again
