Went here on a Friday nite. My wife and I got the same thing the 10 piece catfish dinner . We were not disappointed . The service was good. The waitress was nice. Our food came out fresh out of the fryer hot. It tasted really good. The sides were great, too. We ordered a 10 peice of fried shrimp to split it was good but not as good as the catfish. My wife had been there before with her father. I had not, but I plan on coming back. They would be worth a stop if you want a good meal.

This place is quite the surprise to come across in a small town. The service is attentive and always with a smile. They have a great menu and the deserts are delicious. I have only been a few times, but have tried something different from the menu each time and thoroughly enjoyed it all. It’s worth a small detour for sure!! If you get the chance DON’T pass it by.

Go to this restaurant. The cinnamon rolls are a religious experience: you now know that God lives if such amazing things have been created. I’ve had catfish in 8 states and 3 countries. I like catfish but it’s never really been done in a way that made me say “Wow, that was good.” They did theirs PERFECTLY. They didn’t over cook it into jerky and didn’t undercook it either. It was plump and juicy – the best catfish I have ever had. On the servers, it looks like they are all the daughters of the owner but maybe not. Usually that means gum smacking early 20s girl spends as little time as possible away from her phone to take your order. Not these women. They were fabulous. The whole diner was full. Every seat inside and out. Swamped. My wife stood up to tell the server that someone had left their phone outside. Instead of saying, “I’m BUSY!” as they rushed past, this 20 something woman stopped, looked my wife in the eye with a soft smile and simply said, “I see it and normally I’d go get it but we’re really busy right now and I don’t think I’ll be able to deal with it now.” It was the perfect way to handle it. She was honest, direct but she stopped and addressed the situation like a person. Picture perfect response under pressure. We picked this spot by chance on our way to the Lake of the Ozarks but I think we just found our fave spot out here.

Friday night was busy, as a family of 6 they were incredibly accommodating and quick to serve us. The food was what you’d expect in a small town diner. I highly recommend the catfish specials.
