Absolutely delicious gomtang (Korean beef soup) – perfectly seasoned, clean and light. It paired well with the house pickled radish, which was so crisp and fresh. The new owner is a chef who is kind, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. We’ll be back to try the Korean dumplings, ramen, and sweet potato pancakes. Recommended!

Had a great overall experience at this restaurant. No wait time very good food. First time I ever tried a Kimchi pancake and the sauce that accompanied it was delicious. The hot stone bowl with beef, fresh vegetables, and a fried egg was just what I needed

Wow, what an incredible experience! This was our first time trying Umma, and I wish we had tried it sooner! We started off with one of the many excellent Soju offerings and the steamed Mandu, which was perfectly delicate and packed with flavor.
We then ordered the Kimchi Jigae—which was wonderfully fermented, spicy, and perfectly rounded with savory flavor—and the OSAM Bulgogi—which featured some of the greatest depth of flavor of any cuisine I’ve tried over the years!
The wait staff, aka the chef’s daughter, was extremely friendly and did an excellent job managing the entire restaurant by herself! The atmosphere is cozy, so don’t be afraid to squeeze in next to someone else because it gets packed!
I can see why they have been recommended to me for years, and I completely understand why they fill up their seats so quickly. We will be back again soon, and will be making this a go-to favorite of the area!

My go-to Korean restaurant, they seemed to have closed, very sad day for me.
Food was really good and it was the exact kind of food you want to get after a very hard shift of on-call. The owner radiates a really happy energy that is unique and lovely, lighting is warm, environment is clean, what’s not to love?
It’s super sad to see they close. Read about her retirement from Reddit post. I hope the owner is ok, in good health and she enjoys her retirement.

What a gem. Having been to Korea many times, this place reminded me of the great flavors to be had whole there. The owners have created such a wonderful menu with tons of variety. We drove from Vancouver because the reviews were so great and it did not disappoint. We were greeted and seated by the owner and she was most helpful when it came to menu selections. We opted for tofu soup and crispy beef lettuce wraps. Flavors were off the charts and their homemade chili sauce is the best. We even bought some of it to go! Really looking forward to trying the entire menu! Yes, it’s that good!

We originally came here for their kalguksu, but unfortunately, they were out. We ended up ordering other items from the menu, but to be honest, nothing really stood out. The food was just okay. I’ve definitely had better elsewhere. A bit disappointing since we were looking forward to trying their signature dish. Not sure if I’d come back unless it’s specifically for the kalguksu when it’s available.

I don’t have pictures of our meal today because I ate it up as soon as it was served to us. I really should have snapped a picture because it was absolutely beautiful. The E24 namul dolsot bibimbap is absolutely gorgeous and even more delicious every single time, even to-go. The rice is always so crispy crunchy and the egg is consistently -just right- (jammy and not overcooked). But I highly recommend eating in if you are able as the service is phenomenal and the atmosphere is so cozy. I also recommend the steamed mandu and my partner always gets the E18. Worth every penny for the home cooking and care. And we love that they keep later hours!

The dishes all look good but weren’t #yummyful at all… seafood pancake, spicy squid with pork, fish are all bland! Expect to wait at least 25-30 minutes before you get served bec there was only 1 person, owner(?), serving. Ambience is alright like being in a small house. The menu smells like a dried towel.

Service attitude is really concerning.
Since I came alittle bit after lunch time around 1, there is completely no service during most of my meal time. The squid bugogi is oily but test good, tofu soup seafood has not much seafood in there.
Totally understand the frustration, however, asking us to pay while still eating is disappointing.
Bingbingbap, bugogi, and tofu soup is what we ordered.
Honest review, hope it helps whoever plan on visit

Authentic Korean restaurant. ALL dishes are good! I personally will keep going back to try all their dishes! Pork bone soup is a must try! Soup base has hand ground parilla seeds! The pork intestine stir fry is my new favorite dish. Plenty of fresh side dishes come for free and they are refillable.
