This is an absolute hidden gem in the area. The food is incredible. The wontons were silky with the perfect chili spices kick, the fried treats were crispy and lightly sweet, and the spicy chicken packed bold flavor without being overwhelming. Everything tasted super fresh and authentic. The service was warm, friendly, and welcoming, making the whole experience even better. If you’re craving delicious, comforting Chinese food with amazing flavors and great hospitality, this is the spot. Highly recommend and definitely coming back!

Best baos and dumplings hand-made in the state of Oregon. Their dough master and meat filling is very consistent and always very well made. Been visiting BBH over the last few years and continue to enjoy them.

My son asked for Bao and we happened to be in the neighborhood. Such an amazing experience. So delicious and flavorfull! And the waiter is so friendly. We got the Double Shrimp Noodles Chicken Soup and Shang Hai Pan Fried Bao Zi. Will absolutely be back on a regular basis.

The best ox tail noodle soup and brown sugar walnuts dessert are absolutely the best! The waitress is super nice and always has the smile. Will definitely return for trying different dishes!

This isn’t my favorite “Chinese restaurant” in Eugene…this is my all time/all cuisine favorite. The ingredients are fresh, the food is not heavily Americanized (no sweet and sour chicken here) and everything is delicious. My favorite dishes are ones ordered with a sense of adventure. The humble tomato rice dish is wonderful, the shrimp fried rice is filled with both fresh and dried shrimp and full of flavor the pepper sauce is full of spice and vinegar. Delicious! The namesake bao is wonderful as well. So rub your chopsticks together and dive in!

This is one of my favorite dinner spots! I love the ginger goji tea that’s available in winter. I also enjoy the pickled Chinese vegetables and beef with noodle soup. I also love the dumplings in chili oil and the cucumber salad.

If I had any complaint, and it’s a small one, it’s that we often have to wait a long time for one of our dishes to come out – as in most of the food will come but there will be one that… doesn’t.

10/10 recommend, but bring your patience.

Our party of four enjoyed lunch at the establishment. The restaurant presented a modern and appealing aesthetic. Observing the chefs prepare fresh dumplings in the open kitchen was a highlight.

My assessment of the dumplings is slightly lower than anticipated due to my personal preference; I would rate them 3.5 stars.

The spicy curry over rice lacked discernible curry flavor, despite its appropriate coloring. Furthermore, it lacked the promised spiciness; a 3-star rating is generous.

The stewed beef noodle dish fell short of expectations. The beef lacked authentic Cantonese flavor and exhibited inconsistent tenderness. The white noodles were overly soft. This dish receives a 3-star rating.

The pan-fried curry beef bao was our favorite item, boasting excellent curry beef flavor. I would give it a 5 stars rating. This dish would be my choice should we return.

In short, I would give this restaurant a 3 to 3.5 stars.

We had a fantastic dining experience eating here for lunch. The staff were attentive and friendly, and some of the food was exceptionally good. I recommend the Cha Siu pork buns and red bean buns, both of which were the best I’ve ever eaten.

One of my party also has a severe beef allergy but didn’t have any issues with the food here.

The best food and the kindest people! The bao are large and fluffy perfection. The shrimp fried noodles and rice with XO is so savory and filling. So yummy! We will be counting down the days until we can make it back this way!
