I had given a five star review before, but I am changing it to three stars based on a recent experience. I ordered and paid for the pizza online. When I went to pick up the pizza, I had to choose an amount to tip before I could collect the pizzas.
I fail to understand the logic behind this genius idea.
Why force a customer to give a tip when this is not a situation where a tip should be expected? All they did was put the pizza in the box and hand it over to me over the counter. Why not ask for a donation, as that would have made more sense.
I don’t think we will order pizza from here again.
BUT, once home, my hubs and I were quite disappointed with the current promotional DETROIT pizza. I ordered the Supremo version which came with Italian Sausage, Green Bell Peppers, and Onions. (Unfortunately, I did not check the pizza before I left the parking lot, partly because it smelled really good.) The box states: “50% more cheese, and Loaded with toppings”… that was NOT what we had before us. There were SEVERAL bites within each slice that only consisted of sauce and bread, and maybe the thinnest hint of cheese. We were both famished, so we ate it anyway. But, to try to end on a positive note, when we did get a bite with all three ingredients present it tasted as you’d hope, just not very cheesy. And, the (promo, Detroit-style?) crust was lighter, spongy, and the crispy edges were very nice.
We’re gonna give these guys a second chance, but paying $14.93 for the version of the Detroit Supremo Pizza we received left us feeling cheated and disappointed.
By 7:35, nothing had been handed to me, so I politely inquired. A new employee named Aaron told me it was still in the oven. At 7:40, a female employee arrived and began helping get orders out. At 7:42, I saw one of my pizzas come out, but not the second. I was told it would be “right out.”
Fast forward to 7:58 still no second pizza. A male employee told the female staffer to offer me a free soda… Are you kidding me? This was a $46 order, and I had been waiting inside the store for 45 minutes at this point.
Finally, at 8:07 PM, the second pizza came out. I asked (politely) how they thought it was acceptable to let my first pizza sit under the heater for 27 minutes. Aaron’s response? “It is fine — it keeps it warm.” Seriously?
This location was a complete embarrassment — poorly run, no communication, no professionalism, and zero accountability. When I asked for a refund, I was told to contact customer service myself. Aaron even refused to provide the number and told me to look it up.
Unfortunately, this experience reflects a lack of training, leadership, and basic customer service. I won’t be returning to this location, and I strongly suggest others think twice before doing business here.

To date 7/6/25..After contacting the Escalation Department and was told the General Manager would call within 48 hours – NOTHING has happened. Excellent customer service.
After watching Pizza Hut commercials for the last two days—thought we’d give them a try! What a disappointment—so frustrated!!!

Called what i thought was the store but it was a service center that put me on hold for over 11 min and then hung up on me.
BF called, waited six minutes and when i finally got to talk to tge ‘manager’ she NEVER apologized, just saud tgey were busy. As for not sending my brownie—she said she had been adking her employees for the ladt hour who it belonged too and no one knew!
I foukd go on and on with what happened next—but im starving and Dominos just arrived—ordered it 35 min ago and it just arrived—SUPER Hot!!!

Will NOT ever order from them again and will tell everyone I know how awful the food was and the customer service was even worse! Manager should definitely be fired!!! She was rude and copped an attitude with me!
I ordered food through their website like I always do. I called to check on the order because it had been a while. I was told that they had to use Doordash for the order instead. Keep in mind, there was no mention of this during the online process. I just got my food well over 1.5 hrs later. Its lukewarm, dry and old. I threw it all out. The customer service line offered me $10. I spent $27. People work hard for their money and some of us can’t afford to lose it due to the company doing weird stuff. Disappointed is not the word.
