My first time here did not disappoint. Our server, Amber, was knowledgeable, friendly, and the right amount of attentive. The atmosphere on the patio with the beautiful view was fabulous. Top off that with amazingly delicious food, it was a win-win situation!

Boy was going to 502 a disappointment. We had the Lake Fries as an appetizer. The fries were a very interesting and fun cut. The cheese tasted like a can and everything but the fries were extremely salty. It took an extremely long time to get our main course, even though there were very few people dining. We completely finished our appetizer and a beer before our main course arrived. It shouldn’t have taken that long for pasta with meatballs and a burger. Flavors were ok, though not even close to in line with the costs of the meal.
The one front staff/bartender/server was attentive and friendly. Not sure if the quality goes down when the tourists leave for the season. As a new local, not sure we’ll go back.

Great views, good food! We were a bit skeptical reading other reviews on here, but decided to give it a shot. Service was very quick for 6 o’clock on a Saturday night in the summer. Food was out fast, very good. We both had pasta dishes. A little pricey but a good stop non the less

This may be due to mid January, but avoid this breakfast buffet. Overpriced ($17) and the food was equivalent to a cheap hotel continental breakfast. Pretty sure they were serving powdered eggs. One server on staff, so getting a refill of water was a big ask.

5 of us for dinner. First it took 15 minutes to even see the hostess let alone be seated. After seating we waited too long for drinks. We were already to walk and they came. Next, steak was ordered and the server then informed us they were out. We ordered shrimp cocktail to share as an appetizer. It sat on the hot serving counter for another 10-15 minutes and instead of cocktail sauce it was served with salsa! That was terrible and the hostess manager laughed at it. Finally our food arrived. 1 completely wrong entree and burgers that were cooked much to long We had to take a drink to swallow it. The person with the wrong entree played on her phone while everyone ate their meal until hers arrived. For $138.00, this meal was totally gone wrong. Not even an apology for this disaster of a meal. Do not go here to eat!

502 Get 3 stars mostly for the veiw you can get on the deck with the warm cheese dip & wild rice bread, flower boxes & Leech Lake. We had a 502 burger? Not memorable it actually reminded me of the taste of a Burger from King Burger like that fake charcoal taste & the bacon, mushrooms, oinions & spinich were chopped small little bits. I’d order it again. The almond crusted walleye was awesome!!! The wild rice wasn’t quite done and the sauteed vegetables were awful as you can see in the pictures of the baby carrots for $24.00 you would think the could make sure the food was fully cooked & worth the value.
We LOVE warm cheese dip and bread!

You can also come by boat if there is dock space to park.
It’s hard to find seasonal help that put out the quality you expect at such a beautiful place hopefully they will get it figured out.

Other reviews looked nice but our food was pretty average. I got the prime rib. The AuJus tasted like water, asked about it and they said it was normal. I’m thinking the chefs didn’t stir the aujus pot and it separated. We watched our food for 7 come out and sit under a heat lamp for about 15-20 minutes with no aight of our server. He said he was new so idk. Salads were placed right next to heat lamp. Oofda. Food was just warm. Best thing was a BLT, but it’s hard to mess up bacon.

So glad to see the 502 being taken care of and getting the help it needs! We love the patio here so much, you can’t beat the view. The drinks and food were all really good, I had the root beer float cocktail and it was perfection. Had the margherita flat bread with fries and it was delicious. We all had something different and everyone really liked their meals. Great time with family and it was so nice to enjoy the patio. The waiter was fab as well! Can’t wait to come back again.
