Also, there’s like a random soft piece chicken in there that looks like a tender in there
How the food got my stomach sounds like it’s slapboxing on 5 bites. Chef gon have to see me after this nbs
The catfish wasn’t terrible flavor-wise, but it had no crunch at all, which was disappointing. The fries seemed undercooked and were not good at all. I also ordered lemon pepper wings, and they tasted old and burnt. The chicken was so hard I could barely chew it.
I almost bought their lemonade, but thankfully I sampled it first. The taste was awful.. I honestly can’t even describe it. It tasted like something had gone bad or like they never clean the tubs they keep it in.
The store itself had a weird smell, and the atmosphere just didn’t feel clean. The floors were sticky, and the counters weren’t wiped down either. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place. The good customer service doesn’t make up for the food quality and the lack of cleanliness.
On a good day, the wings can be quite satisfying. They offer a good range of flavors, from classic buffalo to more unique options, and when they’re cooked right, they have a nice crispiness and are juicy inside. The portion sizes are generally fair for the price, and the convenience of a dedicated wing spot is definitely a plus. Their fries are usually a good accompaniment as well, often seasoned nicely.
However, the “best” in the name doesn’t always translate to the actual product. I’ve experienced times where the wings were overcooked and a bit dry, or the sauce application felt uneven. The service can also be a bit hit-or-miss; while sometimes it’s quick and efficient, at other times, there can be delays or a lack of warmth from the staff. It often feels like a grab-and-go establishment, so don’t expect much in terms of atmosphere or dining experience.
Ultimately, America’s Best Wings is a place I’d consider when I’m in the mood for a casual, no-fuss wing order, but I go in with adjusted expectations. It’s a reliable option for a quick bite, but not consistently a standout, making it a solid three-star choice.
