The food is amazing. Everything we have tried has been authentic and delicious. The only thing we were disappointed in (and maybe it’s just because we ordered online) was that we couldn’t get a side of rice. The BBQ chicken is really good but we ended up ordering an extra meal and splitting the rice from the other 2 we got because it doesn’t come with any. (Not that we complained because the extra meal we got was also delicious.) But my 4 year old loves the rice but is iffy on eating meat so we always have to give her some of ours. Being able to order a side or 2 of rice would be super. We have tried many things from here and were not disappointed. A great way to get the puerto rican food I love without spending a ton of time making a mess out of my kitchen. Highly recommend.

The dinner taste just like someone’s grandmother made it! The fried chicken chunks were perfectly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. It made our Valentine’s Day dinner perfect. The waitress was so sweet and attentive!

Second visit and brought the family. Growing up in a predominantly Latinx community in Rhode Island moving to Ct has left a huge gap in really great authentic food. Vega’s felt like home. The yellow rice and pork shoulder made me smile from the moment the lovely waitress brought it out. The plantains (sweets and fried) were delicious and reminded me of the ones my neighbors used to make. The beef and chicken empanadas were straight from the Dominican Republic. Even the chicken from the children’s menu was seasoned deliciously. I can’t speak highly enough of our experience. The music and restaurant was a cultural vibe that you have to experience. If you like pulled Pork and you never had their Latin cuisine…you are truly missing out.

Great spot. Relleno de papa was 5 stars. One of the best I had in a while. Cubano was pressed but not toasted/grilled (soft, not crispy) and only had a tiny thin slice of ham, but pernil was flavorful and juicy. Great spot for a quick bite downtown.
