Had a great time with my family at EI Jinete their food is so delicious, and the portion is great. We had to take out the remaining, would recommend to large and small group.

I wanted to try a different Mexican Restaurant in Dawsonville. The Salsa was a little chuckyer but was absolutely delicious. As was my Burrito and Taco. Definitely a place to stop for great Mexican food. I was curious on the pricing. Tacos were $4 or 3 for $10 and A la cart burritos were right at $6. Seemed to be in line with most other places in the area. I’ll definitely be back the next time I’m in the mood for Mexican food.

The atmosphere is very warm and definitely decorated to farmers with horses and cattle. The menu has so many choices and has pictures to show you what you can expect to eat. Our hostess was quick and polite when we arrived and she always had a great smile during our visit. The food was delicious and served to perfection. The rice was very tasty and they present you with peanuts along with chips and salsa. I found that to be amusing because I never had thought those would work BUT IT WAS PERFECT! I will return to the Dawsonville El Jinete location in the future for more tasty meals and margaritas. Keep up the great work!

The service was very good and fast. The food was OK. It was not nothing special taste wise. We did get some coffee which wasn’t very good and had to return. The bill was pretty pricey for three adult meals and two kids meals. There was good music playing but there are a lot of updates needed to improve the atmosphere.

Just driving through town and stopped for an early lunch on Saturday. Wasn’t busy at all, immediately seated and orders taken by a very sweet waitress. Food came out quickly. Personal preference, ground beef wasn’t for me, but the chicken tamales were good. Overall, good experience stopping for a quick lunch.

Quite possibly the best tamale I’ve had in a long long time. All the food was great but I’ll remember that tamale. The pork was tender and moist, the masa tasted fresh and the sauce was perfect. Our server Dawn was awesome!

First time here..I am new to the area anyway.lots to say.#1 restraint is way outdated#2 #undertrained server.#3 lack of good ownership and or management skills..ok well food was brought out it was cold . Took one bite..server brought another plate without silverware..had to locate her for the silverware.food was obviously made earlier and refrigerated then warmed up..’not fresh at all”..half way through no water no server no refill..flagged down server.. for check and metro her at the register..p.s. I believe overpriced. Pre-made left overs..when it comes to burritos and enchiladas..1 never checked on during the meal..ok who cares this is what really irritated me..gave her my debit card..she said, your card is not working, which was hard to believe. So I gave her another form of payment. Which worked $15 meal with tip? So I went to my truck and checked the previous attempt card. I was charged twice, went back in and was told by a very rude person. I believe in charge. I would have to wait till morning. I said, no I can show you on my phone. Where I was charged twice. And I won’t be leaving until the charge is reversed and would argue with me on this matter. Someone really needs to update this place. Retrain, everyone on staff, just rude crude and really sociably unacceptable. Considering the competition just up the road for less money, I was trying to do business with what appeared to be local people. Won’t be back. They did refund cash finally. After wasting an hour and a 1 of my time, I will call my credit card company and dispute all transactions bottom line, poor management, poor service, leftover food.

Our server was the best and the food just made our whole time there better. They were nice enough to give the whole patio to our pups. It looks like they are cornered out by new construction, but the place is just a jem compared to the other overpriced places around there.
