The first time I tried zao years ago I didn’t like it. I gave it another try recently and really enjoyed it. My husband has tried the Banh mi wrap and the tacos. He enjoyed both of them. My favorite thing to order is a bowl with yakisoba noodles, chicken, broccoli, carrots, corn, cilantro with teriyaki sauce and topped with peanuts. It’s very fresh and delicious.

Surprisingly amazing and fresh food! Really enjoyed steak tacos with the chili lemongrass sauce and chili lime aioli. The noodle bowl with streak and chili lemongrass was a big hit with my 13 year old. And their ‘agua fresca’ drinks are SO GOOD!

I usually love eating here. Not tonight. They skimped really bad on my wrap it was pathetic. My husband got soup and they gave hardly any cilantro and the least amount of chicken they could. It was disappointing. It’s expensive and when you check out they expect a tip. Won’t be coming back.

I had only been here once before and was unsure about the process. It’s one of those “walk by and tell them what you want” ordering lines. That’s great if you are familiar with their food. I could not hear what one server was saying, the next one was clearly training an employee. I have no problem with that, everybody has to learn. But, he seemed annoyed that I didn’t rattle off a list of items for my wrap. Then to top it off, after I got my drink, I had to go back to the counter and interrupt the cashier to get a straw!

Zao is one of my favorite places to go in the Spanish Fork area. Pretty healthy, great ingredients, love the sauces. My favorite is the banh mi wrap. Make sure to ask for the Korean red sauce on it and all the toppings.
