Husband and wife-run old school pub that functions as a local pub first, restaurant second. This does not detract at all from the experience, as portions are generous and food is very traditional Belgian fare.
All dishes come with fries and a salad, as well as bread for the table which make prices even more reasonable. Our vol au vent and carbonnade flamande was fresh, delicious and well presented.
While the madam does not speak fluent English, she was more than capable and helpful with our ordering. The crowd are primarily locals, reflecting authenticity and a strong community-vibe.

Good old school style pub restaurant with an extensive menu at reasonable prices. The mussels are fresh but the sauce for the mussels is too salty. The lone waitress is friendly and kind but service is slow as she’s the only one working. She can’t speak much English but it’s enough to order our food. Went back a few more times to try their mussels in a different sauce and it was great. Bread and butter will be served before the meal. The beer is good but the glass is not filled to the top properly. See my pictures for half filled beer glasses with so much bubbles. Their pasta is quite good. I wish they have a English menu here.

The Meatballs with Fries were excellent—tender, flavorful, and served with perfect crispy fries. The Chocolate Lava Cake was a rich and satisfying sweet finish.
They boast a selection of delicious beers on tap, which is a huge plus!

We were staying nearby and found this place. Staff were friendly, atmosphere is very relaxed. We had the mixed grill, almost too much food to split between 2 people.

This is a truly fantastic, family-run restaurant located conveniently close to the Porte de Hal metro station.
The service was great—attentive and genuinely lovely people. I had a steak that was perfectly cooked and honestly as good as what I’ve had in many specialty steak houses.
The restaurant offers very good value for the quality of food, and they have an excellent, well-priced beer selection. Even the house white wine was surprisingly decent!
I highly encourage you to go and support these lovely people. You won’t regret it!

The staff were very friendly and nice. The atmosphere was quiet and pleasant. The carbonade was great, and the linguine paired well with the seafood. I’d definitely recommend this place and visit again.

Nice place and atmosphere. The food is great at affordable prices (dish of the day at 14 euros). The staff is very nice and attentive. Very close to the flea market and to metro stop Porte de Halle. This is the second time that we come here and we will certainly come back.

Before my flight I stopped at The New Faucon, about an 8-minute walk from Brussels-South train station. The atmosphere is great and the food genuinely impressed me. I enjoyed it so much the scampi with the house sauce is easily a new favourite.
