Korean fusion small plates spot. Beet salad with curly endive, tofu browned with sesame oil and sesame seed coating, and the half chicken with slightly spicy gochujang sauce – very savory. Dessert was a dense chocolate mousse and white Port. Interior black with fun pink light fixtures. Our server, Sama’ah was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. First time here. Great spot if you are heading to an evening at the Carver.

We made last minute reservations for 3 people and had a very delicious meal. The menu is seasonal and changes often. We basically tried the whole menu (minus three dishes). Great value for the food, great place to share plates!

We started with the bread and we loved it. Me and my son don’t usually don’t like bread, but this was an exception. The broccolini was just as good with it tasting like spicy and lemony vegetables, also they were perfectly seasoned. The pork and the ribs were great too. The pork had a sauce that was sweet but not too sweet. The ribs were medium rare and had peppers that were very spicy. Overall, the food was amazing, but it does have a smokey atmosphere at times because of the food being made. I overall loved this place and I hope you come eat at this place as well.

Five stars! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is incredibly warm and inviting.
The food is exquisite and the wine selection is perfectly curated. The service is perfect—the staff makes you feel like a guest in their own home and know the menu very well.
If you want a perfect meal, this is the spot. Highly recommended!

Have been wanting to come here for months and it did not disappoint. All the dishes were awesome, and our server (ive since forgotten her name but she was great! Brown haired girl with glasses!) even sent out a complimentary glass of sake because we had been inquiring about it. Menu was awesome, space was great, and the vibe amongst everyone was good. A san antonio gem.

As we are 18 year downtown residents, it’s great when we find a new gem… and oh did we find a diamond last night!
Tucked away in a small strip center, and some would say “it’s on the other side of the railroad tracks” DON’T let that fool you!
Definitely a cozy and smaller restaurant atmosphere and with a nice vibe. Thus make a reservation.
Service – GREAT. We ordered two rounds of drinks and each time our waiter looked at the glasses before pouring and one time put a class aside. She was very knowledgeable about the food and wine.
Food – 5 stars and elevation comes to mind. We had ZERO issues paying the price point due to the elevation of the meal. we ordered the mushroom risotto.I don’t want to attempt to explain the flavors… just try it. we had been told that this was a new dish on the menu, and to give our feed back.
here you go, “Don’t change a thing”! Yes, that was my outside voice!
Bread… why bother writing about bread? It’s one of our vices in life. It was as good as any bread we have been served in the US and in Europe… yes Europe.
We will be back, 4sure!
Thanks… not for the meal, but the memory.

Truly one of the most innovative and consistently delicious restaurants in san antonio! The ribeye and orecchiette were absolutely incredible and their wine program never misses. Worth a visit for any occasion!

Knew nothing going in aside from a couple pics I saw on IG. We went with a group of 8 and had a little of everything and it was spectacular. The duck was my favorite, but I got to give a shout out to the evenings special, Fish & Chips. I’m rarely happy with this dish as no one can seem to get it right, but the team at Magpie certainly did, top 3 of all time in my book.

Everyone at the restaurant seemed to be a local which was a good sign. Every single fish was delicious. The bread was phenomenal. Other special dishes included the cabbage and the dak galbi chicken.

Food was great! They were understaffed at the time of our visit so expect to wait a little bit. We waited an hour and 30 mins in total (order, dish, desert, and check). Servers were great. I ordered the Cod today. the sear was an overdone and was under salted giving the dish a bitter overtone. The cod would have benefited a lot from some acid. I would recommend anyone coming to try the ribeye. 186$ total dinner desert appetizer and tip for 2 people.
