It’s now routine for us to eat here for birthdays and celebrations. We came for lunch today (more on why later) and as usual, wife ordered a couple of pieces of everything. The fish is always super fresh (as can be this far from any ocean) and creamy.
We ate at lunch today because Edoko was closed, for Thanksgiving. But someone in management forgot tot ell online reservations this, so we DID have a reservation for Thanksgiving… so, whomever dropped that ball, we were a little miffed to drop by only to find you CLOSED.
A full meal for three, involving plenty of a la carte sushi was $250 with no drinks. Pretty normal for us.
Special thanks for the gift of bluefin, from the chef. Appreciated, sir. Our server, Sonya, was an utter delight, and had such amazing nails!!
I sat at the bar and I was greeted by I think his name was Sergio (im sorry if I remember wrong) he was super nice and helpful while I decided which wine I wanted for the night, not only that he assured me that it was okay for me to order a full meal since I was just going to order appetizers and to take my time eating.
I gotta said maybe it was my crappy day but this was so much needed and so worth it!
Wine was delicious I had a random pick and it was delicious
Tofu- So freaking good! Get the trio hot sauce that I was given because that just compliments the dish ✨
Udon- the noodles were a bit too chewy for my liking but overall good flavor.
The tempura is pretty good.
Cucumber salad was refreshing and light
I will definitely be back for the tofu
The food was so good. I especially loved the butterfly roll. It was low carb and kept me feeling full!
Parking in this area is very difficult. If you have a reservation I’d definitely show up 15 min early just to drive around to make sure you can find a place to park.
I’d like to start by saying this is some of my favorite gyoza I’ve ever had, including when I visited Japan. This is a must get. The sauce was delightful, the outside was perfect with a crunchy bottom and soft top, and the filling was delicious. Well worth $7.
My bf got some calamari ring tempura, which was fine but we got a small portion compared to when we usually get calamari. There was only like 3 big rings and 2 small on the plate.
I also got a Gyu sushi to try. Was it worth $4.50? Maybe, maybe not but I enjoyed it and it was a much higher quality than the beef sushi at say Kura.
Now my Beef Yakisoba was questionable honestly. Smaller portion than I’m used to, the beef tasted awkwardly like hamburg and was chewy, and the sauce it was stir fried in was really sweet and thick, almost like honey. Someone might like it but for $18 it wasn’t what I expected and wasn’t to my tastes
Bf got a Charashi bowl for $25 and stated it was mid as expected for the price.
I think we would return, but IMO our food was a mixed bag.
