DELICIOUS sushi with good fast service in a cozy small atmosphere. Bathrooms are clean as well. My favorite is salmon avocado, spicy salmon roll, yaki mussels, and miso soup.

I used to be a loyal customer here until they delivered some sushi to me that was not fresh instead it tasted like it just came out of a refrigerator which is why I stopped ordering from here and going to the restaurant. Prior to that it was fine not sure what happened maybe it was a one-off but I might give it another try and said I’ve been ordering from Umi because every time it’s fresh.

I am writing this review because I do not understand why this place has 4.3 stars. The food was not that great. The elephant white roll tasted off. The lettuce in the salad was old. The california rolls in the salmon seemed to be refrigerated and tasted off as well. The salmon was good, and unagi don was good. The miso and mushroom soup and calamari were fine. The green tea was delicious. Still, I really don’t think this is a place that should be rated more than 3 stars.

Very good food for the money you pay. I liked it more than some more expensive places. The atmosphere is nice too, they look and sound like a Japanese restaurant. Salmon is 10/10.

Been a long time, soo happy. Miso soup still perfectly tasty, and overflowing with wakame and tofu. Never heard of Elephant White Roll so being a risktaker I was curious. DELICIOUS. scallop on top, under tobiko and yummy sauceyness, avocado tuna inside.
In Brighton you’ve gotta choose between Sachiko versus Umi for your sushi, and no disrespect but Sachiko got it everytime. 13 years and counting. Also, idk where they get their mochi but it’s top tier as well!

Quiet corner restaurant with some of the best calamari, rolls and tempuras. Not the fanciest place but they make up for it with the food. Definitely a go to if I lived around here. Quiet, friendly place to dine in with a friend at.

I got takeout with Tuna avocado roll, salmon avocado roll, and shiitake roll. The staff were super friendly and quick to service me! Sushi tastes very fresh and flavorful. Had never been before, walked by and decided to give it a try. They didn’t disappoint! I’ll be back

It’s clean with a chill atmosphere. No one was all in my face while I was eating which I appreciated and the service was quick and polite with clear English a plus. Who loves not having their order understood right? Lol

I love it. The price is good. Delivery supposed to be 35 min but they bring to me 21 min. Food is delicious.
