The food is fantastic old school barbecue. (TRY THE BRISKET!!) That includes the meat and the sides. They have very good southern sweet tea. They also have other drink options. It is an old school mom and pop’s hole in the wall. So it’s kind of an experience. But the food is great and I’ve always had good service there. These are the kind of places I prefer to support instead of chain restaurants that don’t care. The atmosphere is that of an old shack. It’s kinda cool.
05/24/2025 I’m back again today speaking with the owner Miss Tammy. Really good people here. Come by and try her barbecue!! And sides. They are delicious .

Stopped by this place as a spur of the moment thing.. kind of a last minute spontaneity. This place was quiet and suprisengly had a little dining area.. the outside is a bit to be desired, but I try to give every place a chance and I’m glad I did. I love BBQ and this was right on my way. The ribs are pork and was falling off the bones, and the baked beans were creamy just how I like it, not too sweet, not to sauced. The customer service is whats to be expected in a small place like this in a busy passing area, southern hospitality . Its a bit different, but I care about the cleanliness and the food which seemed to be right in place, the prices are reasonable, and I mean, who doesn’t love BBQ?? . I had the kids try some to get their opinion and one said, ” now that’s what I’m talking about!” Lol, and the other asked, ” why does the mac n cheese taste tangy? ” it had a taste we can only describe as bitter/vinegar like ♀️ ♀️. The overall was good, no food poisening or sickness. Let us know if you visit and what the food taste like for consistant taste review.

There was a roach dying on the counter. I already paid for my food sick within 30 min I do not recommend. The red rice wasn’t red just pure disgusting

This is a pulled pork BBQ Sandwich worth talking about. I had it with the “hot bbq sauce “. It was perfection. The staff was overly nice and helpful. The place is not where you would go for fine dining. It is more what you would expect from dives and diners. Highly recommended for the bbq enthusiasts.

First and LAST time going! I ordered a kids meal which was $6 macaroni and cheese and THREE ribs AND a drink. Neither the was seasoned. The Mac taste like literally noodles and cheese. The ribs barely had any meat on the bones at that . I also ordered a $10 plate which includes ribs and baked beans . They gave THREE AND A HALF ribs and beans . Had I know I would’ve gotten 4 kids meals . NEVER AGAIN !

When you come here to eat be very hungry. They make a plate like your mother makes on Sunday. If you go home hungry it not because they don’t give enough food it’s because you didn’t eat it all and decided to take it home and eat it later. This is the best bbq plate you can get in the area. It’s the best value for the price and they staff is awesome.

I’m visiting the city of Savannah and I hadn’t had anything to eat since 530am today and it’s now 3pm. The work I was doing required a full stomach, rest and muscles. I was on empty, literally.
I typed in “food” in Google maps and this place was the closest. I hadn’t had BBQ in a while. My wife and I have a rule if the BBQ spot doesn’t have sausage, we don’t stop. Smokey’s has sausage and I ordered it.
I must say the lady behind the counter was a joy to order with as she had gospel music in the background. I ordered number 19, and my 2 meats were sausage and chopped bone-in chicken, with macaroni and baked beans, sweet tea and cornbread. Grand total for me was $22 and it was worth every penny.
Good food in Savannah is hard to find. It’s not the tourist spots you should visit. It’s the small places that might not deliver and seem to be in their customer friendly location for a long time.
I’ll be back with my family and tonight, I’m sharing my leftovers with my sister and we probably won’t finish them all. You get plenty of food.
