Stopped in with Wifey for a quick bite just before the rain. Seated quickly in one of the comfy open booths. Service was a tad slow but it was just moments after opening. Looking over the menu prices seemed a bit high for a “casual” sushi spot. Ordered a few appetizers, some sushi and some of the suggested rolls. I was surprised to hear that the dumplings or gyoza were only available steamed or “deep fried”. Different. As for the rolls and sushi options there is quite a bit of ingredient repetition. This is common in sushi restaurants that are casual but this one was a bit overkill. Service interaction was on the awkward side which I’ve noticed on other reviews as well. Food was delicious, flavorful and presented well. Portion sizes were on the micro side. Drink options very limited. Music selections very upbeat and hip/trendy kinda club like. Overall fun experience, good food but on the pricey side for portion sizes and quality.

I love Hako! Always delicious and consistent. Usually get take out once or twice a month it’s so good, always satisfying my sushi cravings. Dine in service is great too, servers are all very pleasant and responsive. One of my favorite restaurants in the neighborhood!

this easily will become my new favorite spot! the food came out quick and was really yummy. we got the crunch munch roll, california roll, yum yum roll, and the black tiger roll. all of them exceeding expectations! we also tried a bottle of sake and the matcha hi. the matcha hi is a matcha cocktail with gin and hOLLYYY oh my god that was very delicious im obsessed. the staff was also super fun and friendly, we engaged in a lot of silly banter and anyone who describes it otherwise likely just lacks a whimsy about em 😛
all in all, there was no wait, the food was better than anticipated, the drinks were more delicious than expected, the staff was a friendly vibe that you crave, and i will be back a dozen more times.

HAKO is without a doubt the best place in the Cleveland-area for sushi and more. I frequently search for great places to eat and when it comes to their cuisine, I have yet to find another that compares. It’s clear that they care about quality and pay attention to detail because the food is delicious and the customer service is excellent and very accommodating. Whether you are on the east, west, or south side of the city, eating here is absolutely worth the trip.

Went here a while back with a friend and was not disappointed! Great little place for fantastic sushi and great service. We shared an appetizer and four sushi rolls. Kanisu was the appetizer and it was like a cucumber sushi roll, with cucumber taking the place of the rice. The four rolls we got were the Crazy Roll, Spider Roll, Pretty Woman Roll, and Black Tiger Roll. They were all absolutely delicious, and the deep fried one was definitely the stand out Roll for me. I could be remembering wrong, but I believe it was the Pretty Woman that had kiwi in it, and it was an unexpectedly good ingredient. We shared some hot tea that was also a great complement to the meal.

I can not say enough good about this place. Everything is high quality and absolutely delicious! Up until recently, I have only had take-out but I was out and about for my birthday on Friday so I decided to stop in for a birthday lunch. What a great experience! The woman who waited on me was so amazing. She was so kind and friendly. She even gave me a lesson on using the Wasabi and ginger properly which was fun and very appreciated. She even surprised me with a treat once she heard it was my birthday. ❤️ The food was absolutely delicious like always. I loved getting to see it presented instead of in a takeout container too; it was beautiful. Definitely check this place out and dine in. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a great addition to the experience of the food. Thank you so much for the best birthday lunch!
