Behind the Red Curtain, is a a place to have a magical meal experience it’s nestled right there at the tobacco company right there at the Event Center a perfect high-end dinner that did not disappoint. Josh my server was impeccable and his taste choices were perfect. Brian the manager was an amazing person who suggested select house menu items related items that were not on the menu. This was an amazing location and when in Bull City I will most definitely return.

We went there without a reservation, so we sat in the bar area. The waitress quickly greeted us and we had good service throughout the meal. The bread and butter were delicious. I enjoyed the few pieces of salt on the top. We shared the purée potatoes, a filet, and ribeye for dinner. They were all delicious! Steaks were cooked perfectly. My son had a cheeseburger with fries and the portion size was large and delicious as well. For dessert we enjoyed the yummy apple crisp.
*We did not drink but enjoyed watching them make many delicious looking cocktails.

Celebrated my nephews 21st birthday at Nanasteak. There were 9 of us and our server Claire was fantastic! I had the filet, cooked to perfection! The birthday boy ordered the steak tartare and shared it with those that wanted to try, all said it was delicious! Topped off the dinner with Sorbet, chocolate brownie, key lime pie and an apple crips for dessert!! Recommend the sautee mushrooms and mash potatoes!!

We went there for a special occasion. We made a reservation, but got there a little early. Fortunately, we got there at the right time. What was nice was how professional the host was.
When we were seated, the menus went down, and water was poured within seconds of that. Just a nice detail. The server walked us through the menu. We had excellent cocktails and a salad to start. The prices are reasonable for what you get, but not cheap.
The entrees we had were prime rib and the ribeye. They were well-prepared. We asked for the chef to choose the temp they preferred. Both were cooked perfectly. The ribeye had a smokey, sweet flavor that was special.
This is the place to take someone for a special occasion. We mentioned that in the reservation. At the end of the night, spoons suddenly appeared on the table. Then the sorbet of the day showed up. Nice touch, but the server remembered that I have a lactose issue, thus the sorbet.
This is what a classic high-end steakhouse should be.

My wife and I had a wonderful anniversary dinner at NanaSteak on September 28th before the Raphael Saadiq concert, and it could not have been a better experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel welcome and celebrated. The atmosphere was lively yet intimate, the perfect setting for a special evening.
The food was outstanding, our steaks were cooked to perfection, flavorful, and tender. The sides and appetizers were just as memorable, beautifully prepared and well-portioned. The cocktail list had great options, and the wine pairing recommended by our server complemented our meal perfectly.
What made the night even more special was the attentive service. The team went out of their way to acknowledge our anniversary, which added a thoughtful personal touch.
We left full, happy, and ready to enjoy the concert with the best possible start to the evening. NanaSteak has truly become one of our go-to spots for special occasions, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for both exceptional food and a warm, memorable dining experience.

Listen, I am a traveling private chef who just moved here from Michigan. My sister and brother-in-law drove down from Greensboro To take me to dinner. When I tell you the service, the food and that cannabis drink was amazing. Look, I am a food critic. I Probably dine out once every 2 to 3 months I prefer cooking my own food for many reasons but this place I we will definitely be back. It was clean. The waiters were very attentive. They work as a team. The food was prompt fresh my ribeye steak was cooked to perfection. We had the brace rib ribs and the calamari as an appetizer 10 out of 10 my sister and Brother had filet mignon 10 out of 10 we shared the french fries brussels sprouts and the mac & cheese 10 out of 10 I really give a 10 out of 10 for everything at an establishment these people over there. Know what they’re doing. I will be back even if I go alone. This was a great welcome to Durham

Found this place in my travels and decided to give it a whirl. Let’s talk about parking, you’re going to have to park and walk to this place, parking is tough, be prepared. This is a wait to be seated kind of place with table service and you pay your server when done. The entire staff was extremely courteous and accommodating to us. They also have a great selection of Bourbon and many other types of alcohol here. I ordered a 14 oz. NY Strip that was AWESOME, super flavorful, moist, seared just right, super tender. Prime cut of meat as we were told up front and Nanna’s delivered. Top shelf food here. The fries and Brussel sprouts were fried in duck fat grease and they had an awesome flavor as well. This place is pricey, but from the service to the food, it’s worth visiting here and well worth the price. I highly recommend, 2 thumbs up.

Okayyyy finally had the chance to eat here. My husband ordered the salmon over mashed potatoes with some greens. I ordered ribeye of course I am a steak connoisseur. I know all cuts all flavors and I am a chef so I critique everywhere I go and my ribeye was made to perfection. No sauce needed medium well it was amazing. I highly recommend this place for what I had. Of course I’ll be back to try other items on the menu. Great job, Nana!
