sketchy area… slow service even though we were the only ones there for like 25 minutes but the chicken was pretty good! got the mild chicken tenders and it’s a decent portion size for the price. waffle fries are amazing but sauce wasn’t fantastic. if ricky’s didn’t exist this would probably be third place after dave’s.

This was my first time visiting Hangry Joe’s; I had a wonderful experience. I ordered the number one combo, which is a Mega chicken sandwich, with coleslaw and waffle fries. I decided on the mild seasoning, because I have a low tolerance for spice. The chicken was tender and juicy, hot and made to order. The special sauce on the side is absolutely delicious! My only regret is that I didn’t get two sauces. The restaurant is very clean, and the staff is friendly. They have a drive-through option, as well as inside dining. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for an amazing chicken sandwich.

First I say this place looks like it has been newly opened in the last couple months (05/2024 now) but it is a nice addition to the area . Front cashier staff seems to be new at their job but they are diligently trying to get your order placed and out to you. I went through the menu which is nice and visible on the wall and gives you the items that you can order easily and simply. As you can see in the pictures, I ordered a couple different things. Now on the picture with the bread and just the chicken. It was the hot level item that I ordered and the next to that one level was the “Angry Hot” which I think they say you have to sign a waiver. The regular food that I ordered was on the mild level and it was very delicious and tasty I really enjoyed the sandwich and the loaded fries. Beverage selection is pretty normal and the seating in the establishment is probably only for about 30 people at the most. They look to have a drive-thru so this is more like a place your food order and go. Unless there is some open seating inside. Definitely will have to come back here in the future to try some different items. The hot chicken that I did order was not really that hot it wasn’t flaming burning in my mouth on fire hot. I would say the one chip challenge would probably be way beyond this spice level. Overall it was a pleasant experience the only thing I would make a note of is the neighborhood is kind of shady ♂️and if you ever come back and they have bars on the window, don’t be afraid to go inside and get your order. The bars are there just for people not to damage their place at night. Please enjoy this nice addition to the area before it becomes that popular place that everyone packs.

Tried this place for the first time today and they did not let me down! I got a chicken sandwich with medium heat and it was pretty spicy. The chicken was very flavorful and had the perfect amount of breading. The loaded fries were definitely loaded and delicious. I’m not a big fan of coleslaw, but I found theirs quite tasty. The waffles were soft and slightly crunchy with just the right amount of sweetness. 10/10 will be back!

I’ve been looking for a good wing spot with breaded wings since Hooters has downsized their offerings and this place is high on my list. Good sized wings… Good sauces… And I didn’t even have to over-tip a half-dressed waitress. They could use a couple of more sauce options, but I’m sure that will come in time. Overall 5 ⭐ experience.

Employees must be lazy or something.. showed up at 11:07AM today 11/29/2025, they have all of the lights turned off and they are still closed. Hire better people next time if you guys have lazy people who won’t show up on time to work. Ended up not eating anything during my lunch break because of you guys.

I’ve been here twice and I love it. The first time I had the mild spice level and the second I tried the medium spice level on my chicken sando. The chicken is so flavorful and the toppings make it even better. This place is in a HORRIBLE neighborhood but you’ll be alright. Just bring you some protection just in case. Definitely worth going for the food.

When trusted barbers at The Upgrade Unisex Salon are raving about how good Hangry Joe’s Hot Chicken is AND my Grandson suggests it… I try it! The word HOT in the name worried me a little but you choose your heat level. I love the limited menu. They offer 3 combos, 3 sides and 7 menu items all with fair prices. The salad with chicken breast (No Heat please) was cooked with the right amount of seasoning and the Chicken Sando both offered good portions for the price. The salad was actually enough for two. We opted to use the drive through which was quick with decent service. This was an enjoyable dining experience.

This place is legit!! We ordered spicy chicken sandwiches with a side of fries. For the spice level we did medium and it got a little spicy towards the end but still great! The food you get is a good amount in which you will more than likely have left overs. AND whatever sauce they had there for your fries so sooo good! Lol
